Attendee Profile
Primary attendees are MI dealers, international DCs, buyers, and press. Secondary attendees include industry
affiliates and end-users.
At the close of the 2013 NAMM Show, NAMM reported 93,908 total registrants, a slight decrease from 2012.
The association reported there were 1,687 exhibitors at this year’s show, including 289 new exhibitors. New
exhibitors accounted for 20% of the exhibiting companies this year, with another 118 companies returning to
NAMM after a year or more off. 492 of the exhibiting companies were from beyond U.S. borders, representing

Booth Overview
The booth makes a strong brand statement and creates a dynamic Shure experience that evokes a passion for
audio. The booth modules are designed to display product, facilitate product demos, and engage attendees.
Featured / New Product Areas
Located in the front of the booth, the 1st floor featured / new products area will highlight recent product
launches: BLX® Wireless, GLX-D® Digital Wireless, SE112 and SE846 Sound Isolating™ Earphones and the
SRH1540 Headphones. A large, tower video will be shown here and will highlight these products. The 2nd floor
featured area will have the same products on display.
Booth Modules
NEW! GLXD6 Demo Stations
New this year will be three demo stations for the GLXD6 Guitar Pedal. The demo stations will replace the area
where the stage has been in the past years. Badges will be scanned here for a chance to win a GLXD16 Guitar
Pedal System and guitar picks will be handed out to attendees who demo the pedal.
BLX® Wireless Systems
The BLX Wireless Systems module is in a high traffic area. A number of form factors will be on display in
addition to the BLX4R Half Rack receiver which will be racked displaying the front and back of the product.
Please note no audio can be demonstrated at this module or any other wireless module.
PSM900, PSM1000 Demo
To facilitate the demonstration of PSM900 and PSM1000, sample audio tracks will be set up to simulate
various mixes musicians in a band might encounter while using an in-ear monitor system.
GLX-D® Digital Wireless
GLX-D Wireless module is in a high traffic area. Product will be on display allowing attendees to see the various
options and demonstrate key features. The GLXD6 Guitar Pedal Receiver will be on display on a pedal board on
an elevated floor stand. Please note no audio can be demonstrated at this module or any other wireless module.
Wired Mic Listening Demo
The Wired Mic Listening demo is popular at show. It allows attendees to demo a number of Shure wired
microphones. The attendee can speak or sing into the microphone and using SRH headphones hear the audio
difference between multiple microphones.
Wireless Modules
Wireless modules incorporate a built-in rack and shelving for product, accessories and signage. Each module
also includes a monitor where a wireless product video will be playing. Specific wireless modules are as
follows:
• ULX® Wireless, ULX-D® Digital Wireless, and Headset and Lavalier Microphones
• PGX Digital Wireless and SLX® Wireless
• UHF-R® Wireless
• Axient® Wireless Management Network
o Internet for www.axient.net will be available at this module
o The monitor will also be used for Axient and WWB demos
Wired Microphone Display
The wired product module will have display space along the front and back, including a monitor on each side
which will be playing a wired product video. Each product line will have its own niche.

Headphone / Earphone Demo
The headphone and earphone demo station will be located behind the GLX-D demo stations. Our current
headphone lineup will be available for demo. Audio will be driven by iPads routed through a hidden headphone
amp. A monitor will display headphone and earphone product videos.
Internet FAQ Station
The FAQ station will be located near the featured area at the front of the booth. A computer will be set up for
attendees to send content links to their email accounts and booth staff can assist attendees with tools and
resources offered on Shure.com/Americas.
No Phone / Fax at the Booth
We will NOT have a landline or fax machine available. A scanner will be available to send Sales Orders. Please
use your company cell phones whenever possible.
Reception Counters
Arguably the busiest place in the booth, the 1st floor reception counter is the hub of activity. The table surface
is long and wide allowing for maximum t-shirt distribution and attendee assistance. Reference materials and
business cards are available at reception. The cabinets behind the reception counter will house the NAMM tshirts. There is also a smaller reception counter on the 2nd floor to help with meetings and sales orders.
Videos in the Booth
Video will be very prevalent in the booth. The video in the featured / new product area, spanning the 1st and 2nd
floors, will display the most recent product introductions.
In a very prominent area, behind the GLXD6 demo stations, a video will loop throughout the show highlighting
the features of the GLXD6, spotlight some of our artists and promote the “Demo to Win” promotion.
Videos will be shown at the following modules: wired, headphone / earphone, Axient®, UHF-R®, and ULX-D®.
Meeting Areas
Private meeting areas are pre-booked and a schedule is maintained at the 2nd floor reception. Small water
bottles will be available for visitors.

R&B Club (Red and Blue Badge Club)
The NAMM R&B Club is on Level 3 in a quiet, elegant ballroom with comfortable seating. The R&B Lounge is
reserved exclusively for Red and Blue badge-holders, including manufacturer representatives. This large,
multilingual business center offers meeting tables, private meeting rooms, e-mail access, free copy services,
language translators, and a variety of complimentary beverages. A receptionist will also be available to assist
members with their business center needs.
Only attendees wearing Red (Exhibitor) and Blue (Buyer) Badges will be permitted in the R&B Club.
TALKING POINTS
Confidentiality
All associates must comply with their confidentiality obligations. This is especially true on the trade show
floor where visitors frequently ask about upcoming products and research and development efforts.
Please keep in mind that any product that is not shipping and/or not displayed on the trade show floor
must not be mentioned to any visitor. The maximum extent of information that can be discussed is: Shure

1. We know that FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler recently announced that the next auction has been
pushed back to sometime in mid-2015.
2. We also know that, according to the FCC, they will release a Report and Order with details for this
next auction sometime during the first half of 2104.
3. Until the Report and Order is released, the amount of UHF spectrum that will be auctioned is
unknown. Therefore, at this time, we can’t accurately state the specific impact on wireless
microphones.
