On behalf of Tourism Australia I would like to warmly welcome you to the
Gold Coast for the 2016 Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) media program.
Our ATE Media Marketplace program, now in its third year, continues
to grow from strength to strength. Its purpose is to bring our valued
consumer and trade media from around the world together with Australian
tourism representatives to find out the latest news on products and
destinations from across the country – providing a platform to share
Australia’s tourism story with audiences internationally.
During your time at ATE we encourage you to immerse yourself in the fun
and sunshine that the Gold Coast is world famous for. From the golden
sands of the spectacular coastline to the lush hinterland, the natural
beauty of the Gold Coast is complemented by cosmopolitan dining and
entertainment options – as highlighted in our latest aquatic and coastal
tourism campaign push.
It is the first time we have held ATE on the Gold Coast, and I would like to
acknowledge the support of our host state partner Tourism and Events
Queensland for making this possible as well as our airline partners Virgin
Australia and Etihad Airways. I would also like to make special mention of
TravMedia for supporting us specifically in the delivery of the ATE Media
Marketplace.
I encourage you to make the most of you time at ATE16 and look forward to
catching up with you during the course of the event.
