TWO-TIME STATE CHAMPIONS
Two years running, the Dazzler Cheerleaders have taken home the title at
SHARP International’s Knott’s Berry
Farm State Championship competition!
Our teams stayed for extra practices
and worked so hard for this final performance of the year! They really
pulled it all together and won the competition!
Each team placed separately and was
awarded accordingly, but our over-all
showmanship, talent and spirit helped
us to take home the championship!
With eleven new iridescent blue trophies, a new banner, and a beautiful
Over-All Grand Master Championship
trophy, our walls are shinning with the
glory these girls earned at this event!
We had so much fun celebrating our
winning by riding the rides, spending
family time together and bonding
with team mates! Knott’s Berry
Farm was a great place to celebrate,
and with great weather and amazing
winnings, it was a blast!
...and for the 8th consecutive time,
we won the “Over-all Grand Master
Champion” trophy!
Gooooo Dazzlers!!

Flapjack Success
Great job to everyone who pitched in for the Applebee’s flapjack fundraiser! Our 418 guests enjoyed
unlimited pancakes, eggs, sasuage, breakfast potatoes, orange juice, coffee and amazing service! Our
cheerleaders served like professionals! We received so many compliments and tips for the girls! The parents who pitched in were so helpful as well! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication!
Flapjack fundraiser
at Applebee’s was
a complete
success!
Applebee’s split the ticket sales with us, 50/50, and helped us to earn $2,090! They were very pleased with
our effort, sprit and enthusiasm and have invited us to come back for more fundraising! All of the money
raised has been added to the accounts of the cheerleaders who sold the tickets to help pay for summer
camp, classes and outfits.
We are making a great name in the community for Dazzler with all of our fundraising success!

Safety During Stunts
We are big on safety, and stunt safety is
number one! It is important to us that
everyone knows the rules and follows
them. We need parents to stay involved
with their children to make sure they are
practicing stunting on mat only and that
they are following our rules.
We have had many cheerleaders come to
practice with acrylic nails on… THIS IS
NOT ALLOWED! We understand that
Prom, graduation and pageants are a popular time to get all dolled up, but you must
be aware that your child will not be allowed
to practice with acrylic nails on. Acrylic
nails can be dangerous to the girl wearing
them and to others on the mat.
If they come to the gym with acrylic nails
on, they will not be allowed on the mats
until the nails are removed. If your child
does not follow this rule, she may be
suspended from the gym and from future
performances.
It is important that your daughter does
not wear any jewelry to practice either.
From earrings to necklaces, bracelets,
rings, belly rings, nose rings, lip rings…
jewelry is not allowed on the mats!
Cheerleaders must wear their hair up and
out of their face during practice. They
can not have free hanging bangs that
cover their eyes, or hair down on their
shoulders as this poses a safety hazard
for stunting as well.
Low cut shirts and loose fitting clothes
can also pose a safety risk during stunts.
If an arm or leg gets caught up in the
clothing, they may miss a catch. Cheer
shoes are required for safety and proper
stunting as well. It is VERY important
that your daughter wears her cheer shoes
on the mats during every practice. If
your child is a flier, or could be a flier,
please have them wear bloomers under
their shorts so they are well covered.
If your cheerleader has an injury, from
cheer or from something else, it is extremely important that you inform the
coach before they begin practice. You
child may not have to stay out of the
entire practice, but it may not be safe for
them or others if they stunt while injured.
Thank you for understanding and following these rules. We want all of our
cheerleaders to stay as safe as possible!

It PAYS to PAY Attention!
We encourage all of our cheerleaders
and parents to pay attention to the
announcements, calendars and due
dates. We understand busy schedules,
as we are very busy ourselves, but
being part of a team requires effort
from everyone.
Last month we posted important reminders in our private facebook group
and added a challenge at the end. If
you read the post from start to finish,
you would have noticed that it gave
you the opportunity to comment with
your birth month to enter a contest
for a free month of cheer classes. We
had multiple responses, most with
birth months… and our winner was
Cecilia Bancalari! Congrats!
We want to make sure that everyone
stays in the loop and nobody is left
out. Please connect with us so you
have the opportunity to win contests
like this, and most importantly so you
get all of the information that pertains
to your child and her team.
Coach Jen’s twins and was born on
January 17th from 1995-2008, you
have just won yourself 4 Jet Hawks
tickets for the night of your daughters
performance!
Good luck, and remember … it pays
to pay attention!
Here is our next contest, for those of
you who are reading this… If your

Facebook
Did you know that Dazzler Cheer is
on facebook? Dazzler Cheer has a
business page that you can “like”, a
personal page that you can send a
“friend request” to and a private page
where only Dazzler cheerleaders and
their parents can chat, get updates,
share pictures and more!
If you are not on facebook with Dazzler Cheer, you are missing out! We
constantly share information with our
cheer family, while giving updates and
reminders. We ask that all of the parents
stay in the loop by reading the material
that we hand out during class, but sometimes in our busy lives we forget about
due dates and deadlines. By following us
on facebook and being active you can
stay up to date and never feel left out.
We are grateful for facebook, as it keeps
us connected with all of our cheerleaders and their parents. Next time you
are on facebook, add us

Bearing The Heat
Thank you for bearing with us through
the heat in the gym for the last few
weeks! We know it has been hot and
because of the direction our building
faces, we get the afternoon sun beating
right into the gym.
We looked around and got some quotes
for cooling, and have decided to install
a swamp cooler on the roof! We
have hired Airstream, one of our
recent T-Shirt sponsors to do
the job!
The swamp cooler will be installed
this week, and if all goes well, we will
have cooling inside the gym before
the end of the week!
Some parents have brought in fans
for us to use while we figured out
the best option for cooling, and we
are very grateful to them as well!
We love spending money locally and
supporting businesses who help out
our cheerleaders, so we are very
happy that Airstream is doing the job
for us!
If you need any work done on your
swamp cooler or airconditioner, call
Robert at 661-940-6934 and let them
know that Dazzler Cheer
sent you!

Jet Hawks Fundraiser and Team Performances
The JetHawks have invited us out to
perform on the field before their games
for the last week of June! We are excited to have this public experience for
the girls as they prep for competitions
this fall!
We will perform on the field, infront of
3rd base just before the 1st pitch is
thrown! Our girls will be required to
wear their white Dazzler Cheer shirt,
their matching blue shorts, cheer socks,
cheer shoes and their hair bow. They
will need their pom-poms as well. If
you have not purchased these items,
please do so asap. It will be too hot for
the girls to wear their uniforms.
After performing, the girls and parents
are encouraged to stick around to
watch the game, bond with fellow team
mates and cheer on the crowd during
time-outs and between innings.

effort, as it will reward the cheerleaders
who sell tickets to the game. (ex: if you
sell 10 tickets, you earn $30.) We do have
a group minimum per game, but after

deal with us where the girls get $3 from
each ticket they sell… so the more you
sell, the more money you raise! Invite
friends, family, co-workers and
neighbors out for this fun-filled evening! The $3 per ticket will be put into
the cheerleaders account to help pay
for their summer camp, classes and
