The business group is now made up of the following four activities:

Performance & Filtration Minerals
As a group they provide customers with tailor-made solutions in highly
technical fields where not only chemical composition, morphology,
mechanical properties, thermal and chemical resistance, but also food
and pharmaceutical grade processing are key requirements. Based on
the transformation of a wide range of extensive, high quality mineral
reserves (kaolins, carbonates, feldspar, mica, ball clays, diatomite, perlite
and vermiculite), as well as expertise in all the techniques needed for
processing, it offers a great variety of products.
The business group is organized in two activities

Pigments for Paper
This business group encompasses Imery’s activities in kaolin and calcium
carbonates (natural and precipitated) for the paper industry. Its structure
is designed to serve the needs of the changing global paper market.
The Pigments for Paper Group supplies more than 350 paper mills, 24%
of which are in North America, 43% in Europe and 33% in the rest of
the world, mainly Asia-Pacific, the region driving growth in the paper
industry.

With it high-quality deposits and high-performance industrial assets, the
Building Material Group activity is France’s largest producer of clay roof
tiles, bricks and chimney blocks and of high-quality natural slate. Imerys
also contributes to the development of renewable energies, particularly
in photovoltaic tiles.
The business group is made up of the following two activities

These business groups are in turn organized into operating activities
serving specific markets. Beyond the legal aspects, a business and
market-based approach is preferred for each activity, in order to drive the
field implementation of ambitious development strategies.
Innovation
Imerys puts extensive resources into research, investing approximately
1% of its 2008 sales. It builds close partnerships with its major customers
and calls on substantial resources to achieve innovations that meet the
customer’s exact need with 270 researchers and technicians, 7 research
& technology centers, 18 market-focused laboratories and technical
centers and cooperation with renowned institutes patents. As of the end
of 2008, Imerys owned 3,240 registered or pending trademarks, 1,140
granted or filed patents, 170 industrial designs and 10 utility models.
Each Business Group is responsible for managing its own Research &
Development effort. They demonstrate great ability in designing specific
innovations for their areas of business and expertise. Considerable
potential for further innovations exist at the crossroads between several
activities. Identifying those opportunities and turning them into new
businesses for Imerys is the mission of the Innovation Department
created in early 2007. Around 20 research projects have already been
identified and are being gradually implemented in nanomaterials,

ceramics and functional additives for building materials.
Developing solution portfolios
Imerys’ target markets are many and varied, so its overall trade risk is low.
Its ten biggest customers represent less than 20% of its sales.

of their manufacturing processes, products and applications to deliver

has been working in the coatings additives arena for the last 10 years
previously with Dupont and Ciba Geigy. He recently joined IMERYS to
help turn IMERYS into a market focused organization. Bob is a high
energy guy with a consultant mentality for management. He enjoys
collaborating and helping his people see the big picture. Bob is married
and has three children. When Bob is not at home with his kids he enjoys
working out, playing tennis, cycling, and competing in sprint triathlons.

Position Description
Provides broad-based support to all groups in the business
--manufacturing, sales, marketing, technical and administration - in
order to improve quality, productivity, employee engagement and
customer satisfaction. Serves as a member of the business leadership
team, understanding the strategy, plans and needs of the business and
providing strategic HR services and solutions in support of the business
needs and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
§ Provides HR leadership, counsel and support to all groups within the
business in the areas of staffing, compensation, policy development
and implementation, organizational development, talent management,
learning and development and change initiatives.
§ Provides business unit support for all HR processes/initiatives, including
partnership with representatives in staffing (to meet recruiting
/ staffing / hiring needs), compensation (manage organizational
compensation processes that support corporate requirements) and
core HR processes (liaison between Finance and corporate Payroll).
§ Ensure Talent Management / Development / Retention processes
are in place to support business needs and are in line with a High
Performance Organization philosophy.
§ Manages / conducts organizational learning / training processes to
meet identified business needs.
§ Tracks key HR performance indicators and develops action plans for
improvement.
§ Manage / coordinate all organizational training.
§ Plan training curriculum for in-house training program and establish
and monitor standards for appropriate progression within those
raining plans.
§ Monitor training results and act as main liaison for the Department of
Labor - Training and Education Grant Programs.
§ Monitor and facilitate employee development training.
§ Develop and conduct on boarding training during employee’s initial

§ Lead and organize professional sales training for the expansion joint

Qualifications
§ Experience: Minimum of seven years of experience in business,
in a sales and manufacturing organization. Minimum of three
years of experience in Quality Management System installation /
administration, safety and security. Broad business exposure, including
strategy development and organizational change management would
be very helpful.
§ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Psychology, Human
Resources or Liberal arts preferred.

brick-paved sidewalks with a charming medley of

homes. Some of the most famous historical sites
are the Archibald Smith Plantation Home, Faces
of War Memorial and Primrose Cottage. Roswell,
GA encourages people of all ages to discover the
joy of strolling along tree-lined streets filled with
rich history and contemporary luxuries.
With over 20,000 school age students, Roswell
offers 15 public schools within the Fulton county
school district, twelve private schools and two
charter schools. These schools offer a variety

In addition, Roswell has two higher education
facilities, Georgia Perimeter College and Strayer
University. These universities offer associates,
undergraduate and graduate programs for their
students.
With Atlanta being only 20 minutes away there
are plenty of opportunities for sports fan. Atlanta
Georgia has five professional sports teams. The
MLB Atlanta Braves play at Turner Field during the
spring, summer and fall, while the WNBA Atlanta
Dream, NBA Atlanta Hawks and NHL Atlanta
Thrashers all meet their opponents at Philips
Arena. When the weather cools down in the fall,
the Georgia Dome heats up as the NFL Atlanta
Falcons start their season.
