psychedelic trance music & culture www.mushroom-magazine.com #184 Autumn 2014 The last mushroom magazine INTRO 3 THE LAST MUSHROOM It‘s been 20 years. It‘s been a terrific time. It‘s been a difficult time. It‘s been fun. It‘s been a struggle. It‘s been long enough. It‘s time to move on. This is the end of mushroom magazine. 4 RELAUNCH 15: mushroom relaunch in 20 double size format fresh content concept new reading experience It‘s not all peaches and cream in this world: Organisms are genetically modified, the oceans are overfished, and bees disappear. Not good at all. But hey: We are also fed up with the „It‘s all going down the tubes“ talk out there. Because it isn‘t. Think about all the amazing festivals we‘ve seen this summer, think about the amount of fantastic music, arts and intellectual ideas around us. Sure, 10 years ago the scene has been blooming and booming, as well. However, it‘s never been as colourful as today. That‘s why we will crank up the music even louder, why we will party even harder. First of all, mushroom will grow from A6 to A5 format. That‘s double the size, and that means twice as much space for new ideas and fresh content, for inspiration and entertainment. We clearly understand that Social Media has profoundly changed the way in which we perceive information. We will adapt to this change - by keeping up our intense online activity, but also by introducing new forms of content and a new reading experience. At the same time we don‘t want to produce a print-out version of Facebook. No, we want to focus on the qualities that still make a printed magazine one-of-a-kind. Adapting to the multidimensional beauty our scene has grown into, we also want to introduce and expand new fields of interest. Spirituality, sustainability and scene activism are just some keywords. Enjoy your last mushroom... and be prepared for the allnew experience. Mat Mushroom is relaunching mushroom magazine This is the end of mushroom magazine as you know it ! But whats comes next? 5 mushroom magazine 10 years ago ‘We Shine’ was only the beginning... is the headline of an article about the first mutual remix of D-Nox & Beckers, a great success *** Mecklenburg is worried: The party-state in the North-East of Germany is facing more and more restrictive authorities, the police puts the heat on councils who allowed events *** Austria is witnessing a mushroom-like phenomena, as the party and festival landscape grows rampantly *** The first compilation of French party collective Hadra is named ‘Hadracadabra’ and reflects the sound of their increasingly popular events *** Infected Mushroom asked about ‘Pop Trance’: „We have reached a very strong level of awareness after 8 years of hard work and not because we ‘We Shine’ war erst der Anfang... lautet die Überschrift eines Artikels über den ersten gemeinsamen Remix von D-Nox & Beckers, ein großer Erfolg *** Sorgen in Mecklenburg: Scheinbar nehmen die Behörden in MeckPomm Goa-Partys verstärkt aufs Korn. Das Landeskriminalamt macht einzelnen Städten Druck, wenn dort entsprechende Veranstaltungen genehmigt werden *** Die erste Compilation des französischen Party-Kollektivs Hadra heißt ‘Hadracadabra’ und soll seinen beliebten Feiern ein musikalisches Denkmal setzen *** In Österreich ist derzeit ein mushroom-artiges Phänomen zu beobachten: Überall schießen plötzlich neue Veranstaltungen und Locations aus dem Boden *** produced Pop Trance, as you call it ... Jedes Jahr veröffentlicht der mushroom den “Trancer’s Guide to the Galaxy” und gibt euch die Chance die spezielle Note der Szene in eurer Region hervorzuheben. A country’s Psy-scene invariably has its own unique set of signature elements that defines the mode of artistic expression, as well as the nature of the festivals. Globally there’s been a definite rise of the ‘old school’ sounds, it’s clear that the tastes of the trancers are shifting, drifting back towards the root-notes of Psytrance, and leaning in favour of the archetypal retro and Goa sounds. This comes as positive news, for there have been tonnes of talk bemoaning the dilution of the classic ‘trance-magic’ in some of the scene’s more contemporary music. However, whether retrodelic or new-age, since this is a rather personal choice, the point of significance is that the popularity of Psytrance is flying high. The next edition of the Guide will be out in early Spring 2015, to ensure that your country’s psy-culture is included, submit a report at the mushroom website: www.mushroom-magazine. com/edit-country. Here’s a sneak peak at a few countries: Die nächste Ausgabe des Guide kommt im Frühling 2015. Hier ist ein kurzer Blick auf einige Länder: SPECIAL 7 Israel Recalls Retro and Goa The Israeli scene is still going strong and you can find a party somewhere around the country almost every day except for sundays. But the winds of change are felt both music and event wise, as in the last year Goa, retro and even the infamous ‚Nitzhonot‘ genre took a steady rise. Ironically as the younger generation starts visiting the parties, their taste goes further and further back in time. Underground parties, while rare, still exist, but big raves from teams such as Groove attack, Moksha, Unity, Doof & Paganka dominate the weekends, with thousands of followers. In the end of the day Psytrance is still the leading sound of electronic music in Israel, and an international trance traveller will not be disappointed while looking for a local party. Yoni Oshrat/Ace Ventura Brazilian Summers: Nature and Psychedelic Trance Brazil is the place where you can listen to good music and be in touch with nature at the same time! We have beautiful beaches, waterfalls and rivers. Universo Paralello is the best time to be here, since it’s one of Brazil’s biggest festivals which takes place once every two years! You will find a beautiful beach in Bahia, a lot of different people and culture, and a variety of music styles: Psychedelic Trance, Goa Trance, Progressive Trance, Progressive Dark Trance, Dark Psychedelic Trance, Chill Out, Reggae Music, etc. It’s one amazing experience that all true psychedelic lovers should have! Another festival that occurs once in two years is Terra em Transe, at Bahia. The main music style is Goa Trance and Psychedelic Trance. Bahia is the best place at this time! Carnaval is another great time to be here. The best-known festival at this time is Soulvision Festival, in São Paulo. Brazil is like a forever endless summer. Besides great festivals the entire year, we have great producers that are playing at the best festivals and making music with the great producers worldwide. We are living a good moment in the Psychedelic Trance scene! Marina Tavar ( Writer of Psytrance labels, websites and magazines) 8 TRANCERS GUIDE A particular Psy-spirit in India Today Goa is a little different from what it used to be, more commercial but still really nice. Hill Top has been there for years . Goa is party life, you’ll find trance parties everywhere, almost every day. A lot of international artists go to play in beautiful Goa, there is a special magic in the air, and a strong energy. Besides Goa, these days trance parties and festivals take place all over India, cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Pune host great parties. The festivals in the Himalaya mountains are not to be missed. The Dream Bubble 3.0 is coming up in November at Westend Goa in Nov 2014, then there’s Psykovsky in Mumbai in November. Indian people are really psychedelic in their minds, and with regards to the trance scene India is a very open country. Karine Petiau/Twisted Kala (Music Producer) The Magic of Italy When Sonica Festival took place for the first time in 2005 on Bolsena Lake, the Italian Psytrance movement was still in its early stages. The old Italian trancers were mostly travelling abroad and attending psychedelic events in other countries or continents, but the Sonica Festival became a landmark for the trance culture in Italy, giving birth to several other festivals. The Human Evolution Festival Festival in Tuscany region and Black Moon in Marche region, are now trying to reach an international audience, involving ar- tists from the main international scene and creating now a strong competition within the national borders. As of now the Italian Psytrance movement appears to be well-established. Gino Sonica (Founder and producer of SONICA FESTIVAL) 10 ROBERDO ASKS Roberdo asks: Can you please put away your camera? Day 3. The sun is hot, and so is the sound. Between the sets of Ace Ventura and Tristan there‘s a short layover at a lecture about the general loss of individual freedom. A really bad thing, as the audience agrees with affirmative nods. However, a few minutes later the very same audience doesn‘t care at all about the various observation drones which circle the sky above the festival. Also the constant presence of a multitude of ridiculously expensive zoom lenses and cameras seems to be the most natural thing in the world. If you want to engage in some real trance dance today, if you want to dance as if nobody‘s watching, you have to take into account that you might be filmed while doing so and that this footage might be part of an “After Movie” a few weeks later. But hey, it‘s beautiful pictures and emotions. If you hit it really hard, there‘s always a chance that some idiot from your camp takes a picture of you being shitfaced and puts it on Facebook. You might not even know about that picture. Is that still individual freedom, and isn‘t individual freedom what our festivals are all about? Many clubs in Berlin have a far better policy. Cameras are strictly prohibited. If you are caught taking pictures with your smartphone you‘ll be kicked out and won‘t get in any more. „What happens in Berghain, remains in Berghain“ as a popular saying about one of the most popular venues goes. The Psytrance scene could take one or two pages from that book. As a matter of fact, some smaller events have already done so and banned cameras from their dance floors. Being an avid photographer myself I perfectly understand the fascination of taking pictures. However, when it comes to party photography I think there‘s all too often a lack of respect towards human dignity. Or, rather: A lack of respect towards those moments of uttermost bliss when a human may temporarily lose his or her dignity – without any consequences for the future. All well and good, but in times of the creative inflation this subject is kind tricky. Everybody‘s a photographer, everybody‘s a film maker today – and that‘s why everybody needs an audience. An experience that doesn‘t include a picture on Facebook is only half as exciting, isn‘t it? I guess what we need first is that shift in human consciousness so many people talk about at the moment. 12 CELLOTAGER Cellotager and the mandibles story & pictures: Andrey Balandin • colorization: Linda Schwarz http://balandin.gallery.ru In one sleepless night the Cellotager could not go to sleep in his comfy thatched hut. He turned and turned and decided to smoke his „magic“ cigarette in order to go to sleep. And while he was smoking he switched on his satellite-television which had a programme by National Geographic about stag beetles. The mighty horns of the South-American insects appealed to him so much, that he took out his „magic“ pills for wishes, spoke a secret magic spell above them, blessed it in his own way and manner six times and then he swallowed it. Happy and full of expectation he fell into a refreshing magic and dreamless sleep. With huge horns he woke up. The Cellotager tested them, pushing whatever with the horns. He even pushed down a fir without effort and shoved a 6-ton-stone from the mountain, against which he always ran when he went for a piss... Thus the horns proved quite useful at home! But our poor Cellotager had not watched the show till its end. Because there it was also told that they were not real horns growing on the head. These CELLOTAGER strongly developed mandibles – upper jaws equipped with humps and notches served instead in courtship displays with competitors for approaching the female beetles. While trying to breakfast it became finally clear to Cellotager that one could not eat porridge but only drink and that again only drop-by drop and with large difficulties. Therefore he took out his magic wonder pills again and wanted to whisper the magic spell above it. But he could not because with such a jaw one cannot even 13 stutter. Damn......What should he do? What to do? But then came his neighbour (they were to meet to go to the local shop in the morning, in order to buy cornbread with cheese and grains). He spoke a „magic“ spell above the new growth and everything fell off immediately...Now the freed and happy Cellotager understood, that not all that glitters is gold.“!!! Verflucht. Was sollte er machen? Was tun? These days constantly improving beginner DJ controllers are offering phat features. Dynamic and reliable portable controllers with 2 fullfeatured decks, 4 channels of mixing, 2 rows of pads, and multiple colours. The SLATE 4’s DJ tools include pitch fader, key-lock, and advanced effect controls all for easy use. The full 4-channel mixer gives constant access to the EQ, and dedicated filter controls. Master RCA outputs, headphone, and microphone inputs: everything u need for immediate results. 16 NEWS Progressive News served by Roberdo Raval Mondero – Blue Townie (Audioload Music): 3 tracks from the hard, fairly psychedelic side of offbeat Progressive Trance. The dance floor stuff of Grouch is great. However, what the Kiwi producer delivered at Boom’s Chill Out Gardens this year took me by surprise: Seismic Glitch Hop and Dub bass lines, trippy sample cascades, ethereal ethno sounds, even the voice of cokehead Charlie Sheen... Grouch merged it all into a wonderfully dope and organic groove. Check out the live record at soundcloud. com/grouchnz What you can hear on Androcell – Imbue pursues a pretty conventional approach. What else is going on at your label, Digital Nature? Digital Nature is busy as never before, I’m happy to say so. We just released a few good digital EPs by Quantanoize, D Twin, 3D Mode and Lupin, and new ones from Aerospace and Etic coming very soon! In 2015 We plan to make Digital Nature Festival which will push the label artists and name forward. Etic facebook.com/Etic.Dsolve www.digitalnature.info What are you up to this winter? I have upcoming shows in Europe. And studio-wise? I will present my new collaboration project: 3D Mode,. It’s a strong and fat Progressive sound at 138 BPM, and it’s already tested successfully on different stages worldwide. The 3D Mode debut EP, Re:Bounce, was just released in May 2014 . I also have some brand new Etic tracks and a Remix to Atomos which will be release in November. You are the owner of Digital Nature Records - Please tell us about an exciting newcomer artist this summer, and why he is exciting! I must say there’s more than only one! I am super excited about the new sound from Shanko, and 3D Mode. It’s a fresh, smashing and unique sound that’s just like nothing else out there, and I love to play it and to see the dance floor reactions. 26 ARTIST FEATURES Hamish Speaking as a music connoisseur: What have been your most amazing discoveries this summer? Well, Noisily Festival in the UK was a huge discovery! We’ve been waiting for a new electronic festival focused on the psychedelic side and these guys have really delivered. Set in a beautiful location it is a really well designed event with some fantastic people behind it. So much fun! Also two new artists have really delivered for me this summer - Daydreamer and 0db. Psychedelic Progressive at its very best. You will be hearing these guys around a lot in the future. And as a common party animal? Any highlights this summer? Absolutely. Boom Festival for one… Beautiful location, great production, it was great to be back there. At Fusion Festival I was honoured with a 3 hour set which I loved. It allowed me to mix old and new tracks and styles, to feel what the dancefloor was wanting, and deliver. And lastly, this summer was the first time I have used only a USB key for my sets. Leaving my CD case at home was a very scary thing to do, I felt naked without it the first time! Being able to carry all of my music in my pocket is such a revelation... your always ready! Pic: Harmish © by Unknown A chat with a sophisticated party animal There‘s those guys who somehow got bored of the game and who hide in the hotel after their gig. And there‘s those guys who go bananas like a teenager even after years of touring. Hamish, head honcho of UK‘s finest Further Progressions is one of the latter ones. What’s cracking at your label, Furthur Progrssions? Obviously the summer was outdoor time. Our next release will be coming in November, with the debut EP ‘Alpha State’ from Daydreamer. Following that we will be releasing Volume 2 of London Landscapes, which was the first release on Furthur Progressions. We have been working on this for a while and I am really excited about the artists we have involved, it’s going to be a special one! www.furthurprogressions.com www.facebook.com/djhamish ARTIST FEATURES 27 It‘s once again the time of Goa Trance He‘s taking the globetrotter aspect of being a DJ quite serious – and that‘s only the peak of the iceberg, as Boom Shankar is quite a busy fellow behind the scenes, as well. Pic: Mama Gaia © by Unknown Boom Shankar Gaia Sunshine There‘s many factors that distinguish the Trance scene from any other electronic music genre, but the probably most characteristic one is its internationality and its love for travelling. DJ Boom Shankar is a perfect example: From the jungle of Koh Phan Gan to pine forests in Spain, from Morocco to the USA, from underground raves in Israel to major festivals all over Europe – this guy has been playing everywhere this year. If you were there during his epic Old School / New School Set at S.U.N.rise, you might have an idea what makes the head of BMSS Records so popular, namely a deeply psychedelic style that crosses bridges between the past and the future. „This new Future Retro sound is becoming more and more popular as it unites the generations, it makes newbies listen to ancient melodies and brings the old generation back to the dance floor. It‘s once again the time of Goa Trance, just in a much better production quality“ the German artist comments on his own style, and adds: „My next CD compilation will feature exactly this, from remixes of new producers to old school classics.“ Besides being a co-promoter of S.U.N. Festival and Transition Festival, Boom Shankar is also busy with his project Lightsource, an EP including remixes and collabs with Etnica, Suduaya, Cimi and more is about to be launched. Speaking of, his label BMSS has a solid number of releases in the pipeline, the albums by PsiloCybian or Lupin or a compilations by Tsubi and Gabi just being some highlights. www.facebook.com/ DjBoomShankarBMSS www.bmss.eu When earth meets the sun, the result is an explosion of beauty, energy, and of course Gaia Sunshine! The act was born with a big-bang when Mama Gaia (Ylva Ek) and Emelie Sunshine (Emelie Dsilna) merged forces in 2012. Mama Gaia began Djing from 2005, whereas Emelie Sunshine started in 2011, both were close friends and their common passion for psy-prog turned them into a superinsane act. Their gig-list comprises of impressive venues like Tree of Life Fesival Turkey, Earthdance Switzerland, Evigheten Festival, Genesis and Freakplanet Mushroom Tour. The progtrance DJanes from Stockholm, Sweden are setting the dance floors ablaze with their powerful and brilliant sets. Catch their shows for a solid dose of pure ecstasy. No, he‘s the one who kicked in the door with a bang: OddWave has been one of the most up-and-coming names during the last open air season. His shuffling, subliminally Glitch infused „I‘m The One Who Knocks“ could be heard at quite every open air floor. Often during one of OddWave‘s live sets, as the artist had a busy tour schedule. It all happened while touring South Africa as Journey and Jay OM in 2009. At the time I was working on my second Journey album but had started making some loops and music that I wouldn‘t normally do with Journey. Before I knew it I had finished a whole load of tracks, enough material to perform Omsphere live for the first time. So I began releasing tracks here and there on compilations and EP‘s. These days you will often find me performing more than once at events as Omsphere and Journey... and as Sonic Wave Control. Your highlights of 2014, music-wise? Here I have to put on my FreeSpirit label manager hat and say that I am most proud of FreeSpirit‘s label artist Twelve Sessions aka Pedro Thiel from Brasil. I first met met Pedro 6 years ago in Porto Alegre, whilst touring Brazil. He had this amazing raw talent, but needed that extra push to get him out there so we signed him to Free-Spirit. Forth- Pic: Dual Effect © by Unknown The year 2014 & the new era Journey, Omsphere, Sonic Wave Control, Free-Spirit Records... Jay OM is a busy man. So we‘re stoked we got him for an interview about his various projects and some highlights of the year 2014. Dual Effect coming release is Twelve Sessions & M-Theory - Once in a Blue Moon and he is also compiling a VA for Free-Spirit Records. On the Omsphere side, I am proud to have a track I made with Tron on his forthcoming album, the guy is a legend. Also look out for a Tron & Journey EP out on Free-Spirit Records in November! Please complete this sentence: My personal highlight of 2014 was... ...finishing my first Omsphere album K‘ag Bak‘tun, which means the new era in Mayan language. The album took me two years to complete with most of the ideas coming from inspiration during my travels. It is something I am really proud of! Fun and passion in music are fuelling Lars Meyer’s appreciation of music production. The more versatile sound as well as more freedom while producing guided him towards Psytrance. The comforting feeling at the deck pushed by partying people shape both life and rhythm of Dual Effect. His rate is 145 bpm. However, his pictures are extremely intricate arrangements of all colours of the rainbow. Meet our cover artist. What‘s your background? Any Psytrance connection at all? Today I like the Berlin Deep House scene, but i‘m also deeply into Hip Hop and Rap culture because of my street art background and connections. But when I was at university we organized some Psytrance parties. I learned to make live visuals in this period and did lots of decorations and backdrops for festivals. Nowadays, I can‘t say i‘m deeply into Psy culture – also because I‘m not the festival-goer any more. If that changes, I will be in first in the line again because i really liked dancing in nature and the strong and fast Psytrance vibe! The difference to Berlin is probably the comfort of Psy culture: I don‘t remember any prejudgement or negative vibes like I get it sometimes from the Berlin Hipster community. Do you also work digitally? That‘s the big thing at the moment, isn‘t it? Yes, I work also digitally sometimes - mainly for commission works because some projects just fit for digital colouring and there is no sense to work with traditional techniques. But if I work for myself I always prefer analogue mediums. First of all, analogue always gives you a chance to make something unique. I really like to discover something new when I’m working spontaneously, it’s kind of discovering my inner self and to fill it with some colour pigments. What are you excited about at the moment? These days I‘m working on the foundation of a new artist collective. I already collaborated with some other artist crews here in Berlin and in other countries, but I feel like now is the time to create my own collective and to organize some art events without the filter or the expectations of other people. I already created a main concept and started to get in touch with lots of artists. If everything goes well, 9th January will be the first event at Urbanspree, Berlin. Also I have 2 more exhibitions next week and I’m on some interesting commission works, but I‘m most excited about the collective thing! facebook.com/azuldecobalt.illustrations behance.net/azuldecobalt azuldecobalt.tictail.com Interview by Roberdo Raval presented by presented by 27.08. – 31.08. This year will be even more mind-blowing. The Earthcore crew is bursting with energy – all signs point to an international festival highlight brewing in Down Under. “We don‘t follow rules, trends or demands. We have over 20 years of experience and have built a platform to deliver events that don‘t meet the needs of the punters, we blow them out of the water and provide something beyond their comprehension.” Underground Film Festival are involved and the list goes on… in hidden bunkers around town, performers are perfecting their shows and the site is being totally reimagined to maximise the party potential. Kinky Karnival is back with a vengeance, Melbourne having him smash the sunrise set as Hallucinogen will be next level. Joining Raja Ram for a Shpongle sunset spot will also be an unmissable spectacle. John 00 Fleming will be back in the Aussie Pic: Earthcore © by Unknown What are the most exciting novelties for this edition? This year we’re once again turning any ideas or preconceptions that people may have on their head. We are taking the design and performance to places not ever seen at an Aussie festival. Stage construction is going on Please tell me about artists you are looking forward to as one of the promoters! It’s hard to go past the headliners Hallucinogen. They’re an act that has been around for years, who have been the heroes and inspiration for so many artists after them. Adding Simon Posford to the bill was no mean feat but bush for the first time in years, Boris Brejcha tore apart the main stage last year and is psyched for another shot, prog dogs Zen Mechanics and Ace Ventura are teaming up under their Zentura guise plus there are favourites like Liquid Soul, Ticon, D-Nox & Beckers. Musically the punters will be in heaven. Obviously that also includes newcomers… Yes! After receiving hundreds of entries and thousands upon thousands of listens via our Soundcloud, the main stage DJ and Live Act comps have been wrapped up and the winners announced. We have recruited some of the best young party crews in town to bring some of their artists to showcase a wide variety of styles and sounds. The buzz is electric. Any specials beyond the dance floors? At last year’s event we had a group called Blow Me First come out and give free breath tests for punters on the way out of the festival ensuring our punters were ok to drive. Each year we also look at ways to ensure sustainability of the bushland we hold our events and take pride in a leave no trace philosophy. We have themed camps and a huge focus on the visual element of our event. The market and food will be amazing. A world class festival experience. www.earthcore.com.au facebook.com/earthcoreofficial 44 PARTYPLANNER PARTYPLANNER ...in cooperation with our friends from GOABASE.NET Party promoters! As a side effect of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy numerous tinnitus sufferers have reported improvements. However, naturally these reports are not taken at face value by those not affected. Approved studies are called for and could in fact be undertaken in the near future. At a conference in New Zealand one researcher said, that “looking at what MDMA did to the brain and also looking at how tinnitus worked, it made sense that there could be a connection”. Still, it is a “mystery” why this is so. About which affected people probably could not care less. Betroffenen dürfte das egal sein. www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/9806851/Party-drug-link-to-tinnitus-cure 56 SOME GARDEN Legal delights for psychedelic minds Truffels are a much sought-after delicacy for gourmets and psychonauts alike. While the former ones have to employ pigs and browse the woods to find their object of desire, the latter ones just have to browse the internet: Soma Gardens is the place to be for all psychedelic explorers. As far as their effect concerned, magic truffels are very similar to magic mushrooms. The ingestion will provoke a dreamlike state of mind, depending on the variety it can be a flight through inner space or an extroverted adventure full of laughters. Intense visual effects are another thing commonly described by users. However, there is one major difference to magic mushrooms: Truffels are still legally available. That‘s why they can be found at Soma Garden. Other than in the Garden of Eden there‘s no forbidden plants among the vast product range. If you are a smoker, their resigns could be an interesting discovery. Also referred to as ‚legal hash‘ or ‚solids‘, products like Green Party, Maroccan Caramello or Revolution Afghan keep up to their name. Another psychelicious aspect of Soma Garden is that you can find some really beautiful seeds here. Peyote, for instance – a plant that needs no introduction, but that surely needs a lot of patience to grow. Soma Garden provides detailed instructions how to plant your own cactuses. Or Hawaiian woodrose seeds, yet another heavenly delight. Kratom, Herbal Caps, legal highs... you name it, they have it! Being one of the longest-running and most professional smart shops on the internet, Soma Garden offers excellent service and even support via Facebook and Twitter. Plus there are always some nice specials, so it surely never gets boring. www.somagarden.com Trüffel sind Magic Mushrooms von der Wirkung her sehr ähnlich. 58 SHOPGUIDE Shopguide PLZ 00000 Der Acker Growshop Bong Bong THC Headshop 12277 Berlin Großbeerenstr. 171 www.der-acker.de Head & Grow 22525 Hamburg Kieler Str. 563c 040-67381508 Head, Glasbläserei 01099 Dresden Alaunstr. 43 www.thc-mfg.deHead, Grow, Freak Sun Seed Bank Om Shankari PLZ 10000 13347 Berlin Amsterdamer Str. 23 030 45606171 Head, Grow, Gifts Udopea Berlin Talisman 22765 Hamburg Hahnenkamp 12 040-3903847 Fash, Head, Jewel www.omshankari.de Warschauer Straße 72, 10243 Berlin 030-30875302, www.udopea.de Head- & Growshop, Mo-Sa 10-20 Uhr Eselföter Str. 20 18055 Rostock talisman-shop.de Fashion, Jewels Kaya Growshop Pegasus Head- & Growshop 51491 Overath Zum alten Wasserwerk 7 www.growandstyle.de Grow Barnstorfer Weg 23, 18057 Rostock 0381-29641919 Head, Grow Udopea Head Shop PLZ 20000 28203 Bremen 0421-75671 10437 Berlin Schliemannstr. 22 +49 (0) 30 4478677 Grow, Head Bundesweite Strafverteidigung Grow And Style Am Dobben 78 Head Udopea Headshop PLZ 30000 Rechtsanwalt Boldt 030 - 2181196 10777 Berlin Spichernstraße 15 btm-rechtsanwalt.de BTM-Recht 20357 Hamburg Schanzenstr.95 www.udopea-hamburg.de Grow, Smart, Head, Herbs Günstiger Headshop Gras Grün Growland Growshop 10999 Berlin 030 6113190 grasgruen.de Oranienstr. 183 Grow, Books, Head mail@grasgruen.de 20537 Hamburg Hammer Deich 6 0 +49 (0)40 329 600 33 Growshop www.growland.net Onlineshop 31135 Hildesheim smoketown.de Roonstr. 19 Head Magic Trend- & Headshop 32423 Minden Simeonstr. 25 magic-minden.de Grow, Head, Shisha SHOPGUIDE 59 Magic Head- & Growshop Sitting Bull Krinskram 33602 Bielefeld Wilhelmstraße 9 magic-bielefeld.de Shisha Head Grow 48153 Münster Hafenstr. 56 0251 522068 Grow, Head, Gifts 58507 Lüdenscheid Knapperstr. 71 www.krinskram.com Head & Grow Patchouli Marburg PLZ 50000 PLZ 60000 www.patchouliworld.com 06421/303380 Head, Grow, Shisha, Clothes Echt Grandios Neutral 51545 Waldbröl Kaiserstr. 34 www.echtgrandios.deHead & Grow 60311 Frankfurt/Main Fahrgasse 97 069-59609591, Head, Smart, Grow, www.neutral-ffm.net Shisha EasyGoing 35745 HerbornWesterwaldstraße 4 www.headshop-easygoing.de Headshop Grow-Bonn PLZ 40000 Near Dark Gmbh The Headshop 53773 Hennef (Sieg) 02242874160 www.neardark.de 40213 Düsseldorf 01211-8549003 Schmuck Burgplatz 2-3 Headshop, Scorpio Headshop 41061 Mönchengladbach Bismarckstraße 19 02161 / 2940420 Head, Piercing www.scorpio-shop.de Green Galaxy Ringofenstr. 37, 44287 Dortmund Growshop / www.green-galaxy.de Lumen Max GmbH 46149 Oberhausen Max-Eyth-Str. 47 www.lumenmax.de Grow 53111 Bonn Franzstraße 37 www.grow-bonn.de Grow Bonnerstr. 11a head/grow wholesale BONG Head- & Growshop 60594 Frankfurt, Elisabethenstr. 21 069-624242 Head, Grow, Shisha www.bong-headshop.de Smart New Asia Headshop Cheech & Chong Head/Grow 68159 Mannheim, F1, 10 www.new-asia-headshop.de Head,Shishas,Absinth 54290 Trier Zuckerberg 21 0651 1453762 Head, WWW www.cheechundchong.com Head & Growshop Mannheim ProGrow 58455 Witten Cörmannstraße 25 02302/1799995 Urban Gardening 68165 Mannheim Schwetzinger Str. 46 0621-3069474 growshop-mannheim.de SHOPGUIDE 60 Bongshop AUSTRIA 68165 MannheimKepplerstrasse 33 www.bongshop.de Head, Grow Hanf & Hanf PLZ 70000 1020 Wien Lassallestrasse 13 www.hanf-hanf.at Head,Grow Udopea Headshop Stecklingsexpress 70178 Stuttgart Marienstr. 32 www.udopea-stuttgart.de Head, Grow 1120 Wien Längenfeldgasse 3 www.hanfoase.at Head & Grow Planet Blunt 76646 Bruchsal Wilderichstr.13-21 planet-blunt.de Head- & Growshop 1070 Wien Kirchengasse 25 www.aurinshop.at fairy fashion & more PLZ 80000 Blumen per Lumen Secret Nature GmbH Hemperium 1070 Wien Zieglergasse 88-90 www.blumenperlumen.at Grow 3600 Thun, 3011 Bern secret-nature.ch, CD, Herbs, Smart Bushdoctor Fourtwenty.ch das Hanf Restaurant Zinglerstr.1, 89073 Ulm Tel. : 0731 / 30 200 www.hemperium.de 1070 Wien bushdoctor.at Hanf Lager 2x in Ulm Neue Str. 33 89073 Ulm Head & Grow Shop www.hanflager.de Aurin Fairy Shop Kircheng.19 Head, Grow, Seeds HUG‘S Zinglerstr. 1 89073 Ulm Headshop 2700 Wr. The colourful decoration? The sweet girls or beautiful boys? Yes, those are important factors - but hands down: What attracts you most to the dance floor is the sound of a big, phat bass line. The same goes for the opposite sex, as scientists found out recently: Bass is sexy. When we encounter an attractive person we turn up the bass. Men as well as women lower their voices when talking to somebody they perceive to be sexy. That’s the result of a study carried out by British and Czech scientist. Curious detail: Obviously men lower their voice only when talking to a women they find hot, whereas women lower their voice when talking to attractive men or when there are other females around they regard to be competitors. The scientists recorded the voices of Czech men talking to women in their native language. They then played these recordings to British women who did not understand the actual content, and asked them to rate the voices in terms of sexiness. What they found was that the ladies gave much higher ratings to the voices of those men who talked to women they perceived to be attractive. Obviously low sound frequencies are a medium of flirtation that is understood even beyond language skills. Was zieht dich unwillkürlich zur Tanzfläche? 61 62 SHOPGUIDE Werners Head Shop Zamnesia.com Impressum 8005 Zürich Langstrasse 230 wernersheadshop.ch Head & Grow Seeds, Grow, Head, Smart, Vapor, Shrooms Verlagsanschrift / Address BioTop Center ZENTAURI 8040 Zürich biotop-zuerich.ch Konradstr. 28 www.zentauri.de alternative herbs Shayanashop Grünhaus AG www.shayanashop.com 8048 Zürich Herostr.7 www.gruenhaus-ag.ch Head,Grow U.K. Access All Areas London 2nd Floor, 30c Camden Lock Place +44 (0) 207 267 8320 Info, Tickets, CDs www.accessallareas.org INTERNET Smart Herausgeber / Publisher Handelsturm Matthias van den Nieuwendijk (V.i.S.d.P.)
