Report on the 2013 5K Fun Run/Walk in

from their sponsors. Thank you participants and sponsors! All
funds raised will be used to buy food for those in need.
Thank you to the volunteers who worked at the event and to:
Steve’s C Town on 9th Street for their donation of cases of
water
3 Guys from Brooklyn for cases of oranges and bananas
Congratulations to all who came out and made the 5k lap
around the park.

people affected by HIV/AIDS. If you would like to be one of

Families, Fathers & Children… Over 9,000 children in
Brooklyn have a Dad in prison. Christmas can be a bleak time
for these families.
Families, Fathers & Children reaches out to these children and

SCHOLA, SCHOLA, SCHOLA!
We don't want your money. We want your time.
I want to sing in the Schola but I don't have the time.
Not a problem. Membership is on a month-to-month basis, renewable every month. Once a month we have a three-hour rehearsal
(either a Sunday after Noon Mass or a Saturday before 5PM Mass).
We learn one thing and one thing only which we sing at all the
Masses that month. That's it. Anyone can drop out or drop in at any
time and not fall behind.
I'd like to join but I have a lousy voice.
You think every monk and nun had a good voice? Chant is written
for all voices.
I missed the Workshop and I can't read music.
No problem. Go to the rehearsal and you'll learn to read as you
sing. Also, audio files of everything we do that month are available
online or will be provided.
