REGISTRATION DEADLINE NEARS
August 15 is just
around the block
Time is running out to get your vehicle pre-registered for CTC 2015.
To qualify for early registration (and get a free participant T-shirt)
registrations and payment must be post marked no later than August 15
or received via fax (228-385-3842) in the CTC office by midnight.
Online registration will automatically shut off at midnight, August 15.
Confirmation postcards will be mailed to all Early Birds, which you will
then use to get your registration package at Cruise Central and be
eligible for ten (10) $500 cash drawings. If you don’t receive your
Confirmation Card (or forgot it, or your dog ate it) Ms. Trudy and Butch
will be happy to give you a substitute once you arrive at Cruise Central.
We recommend that once you get your Confirmation Card, place it in
the glove box of the vehicle you are bringing to CTC.

Celebs at CTC!
America’s Largest Block Party is gaining a reputation as
an event where you can see and meet some of the
hottest celebrities in motorsports entertainment. We’ve
got a great lineup this year:
Dennis Gage, the Mad Stash himself,
will be at CTC most of the week and will
be filming for an episode of “My Classic
Car.” Dennis is our officially unofficial
grand marshal and will be making
appearances all across the coast. You never know, he
may stop by and film your buggy!
Courtney Hansen had so
much fun last year she will be
back to meet and greet her fans
at CTC 2015. A true motorhead,
her family owned Brainerd
Raceway and she grew up around the pits and garages
at racing tracks. After graduating with a degree in
marketing from Florida State University, she undertook a
corporate job in marketing. From there she stepped into
television and back to her love of automobiles.
New to CTC is Cristy Lee of “All Girls
Garage.” Cristy, a graduate of Daytona
State College, will be the grand marshal of
our kick-off parade in Long Beach on
Monday evening. While she is great with
cars, Cristy also enjoys motorcycle racing, dirt track,
mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing, jet
skiing, dance, writing, sports, fitness, poker, go kart
racing, and more!!! Where does she find all this time?
Veterans Cruise-In – American Star Field at MGM Park, home to
the Milwaukee Brewers (AA) baseball team, the Biloxi Shuckers, will
be the location of the 2015 “Salute to Our Veterans” Cruise-In.
Recently completed, the stadium is located across from the Beau
Rivage, it will be quite the unique experience for veterans and cruisers
alike. Participation is open to registered cruisers only. Spectators are
welcome. We’ll park cars on the warning track and the grass “until we
fill the field.” Additional parking will be available immediately around
the ballpark. Team officials, veterans and maybe even a special guest
or two will roam the turf, looking for their favorite vehicles. The event
will be from 10 a.m. ’til 2 p.m. and will feature Garry Wesley as Elvis.
It’s going to be a grand slam home run, so put it on your schedule!
Autocross – “Billy Big Block” and the Racing Redneck crew will once
again be on hand for the Cruisin' The Coast Autocross. As an added
bonus this year, the Rednecks will have the Autocross in action beginning
on Monday, Oct. 5, from 1-5 p.m. for driving instruction. Only 30 or 35
cars will make the cut Monday! But don’t worry, you can see if you’re
faster than a redneck Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. til 5 p.m.
Participation is free and is open to registered cruisers only. Spectators are
welcome. The course will return to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and
Convention Center west parking lot, just beside the parking garage,
which can be used by spectators to watch all the action.
Swap Meet – You’ll notice some great changes to this year’s CTC
Swap Meet as soon as you walk in the doors. For the first time ever,
we’ll have a Manufacturers Midway inside the Coliseum arena.
Expect to see big rigs and big names. Additionally, inside each
registered cruiser’s goody bag this year will be two tickets to the swap
meet. You can have twice the buying power or bring a friend to help
you carry out that bumper. Cost of additional admission tickets to the
swap meet will be $10 and may be purchased only at the Coast
Coliseum during the event.
’Goula Cruise – The streets of Pascagoula will be open and the city
invites everyone to the ’Goula Cruise for the second year. Happening
on Sunday, Oct. 4, cruisers can meet at Beach Park, cruise through
the city, take advantage of a unique photo opportunity at “The Point”
and find some great food and music at Bachtoberfest. Excitement will
last from 11:30 a.m. til 5:30 p.m.
