ENTRY FEES SHALL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Judge, or barred from competition by action of the show committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for duplicate entry or overpayment of entry fees. If because of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other acts beyond the control of the Club or Show Secretary it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. AN ADMINISTRATIVE FEE will be charged for all cancellations or changes made prior to closing of entries. Because of the cost of processing, no refunds under $5.00 will be made. Acknowledgment of entries will be made as soon as possible after entries have closed. POST DATED AND RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. The returned check MUST BE MADE GOOD by cash or money order BEFORE the dog(s) will be allowed in the ring. Any person that issues a check that is returned for non-payment will be required to pay a fine of $25 per check and all items for which check or checks were issued shall then be paid by cash, money order or cashier’s check. CONDITIONAL, UNSIGNED, INCOMPLETE, or entries received without fees will not be accepted. OWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE for errors on entry blanks and for entering the same dog twice. An AKC Recording Fee of $3.50 will be required for each first entry and $3.00 for each additional entry in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. Attention Exhibitors The AMERICAN ROTWEILER CLUB does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official American Kennel Club entry form for this show. THE SHOW SITE will be available to exhibitors at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, September 24, 2015. THE SURFACE of the show grounds is grass with some shade trees. TENTS AND/OR CANOPIES shall only be placed in areas designated by the Bonanza Kennel Club of Carson City. NO CRATES, grooming tables or exercise pens allowed within 10 feet of rings. ONLY DOGS THAT ARE ELIGIBLE to be shown under the American Kennel Club rules shall be allowed within the show premises. ALL DOGS SHALL BE kept on leash except when in the exercising, obedience, or rally ring. THERE SHALL BE NO drilling, nor intensive or corrective training of dogs on the show grounds or premises. DOGS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING. The Club and its Show Secretary will not be responsible and are not obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of breed or class judging. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. DOGS NEED TO BE AT THE SHOW only at scheduled time of judging and may leave immediately thereafter, unless required for further judging. THE CLUB reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. ALL TROPHIES must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed or otherwise distributed. THE WELFARE OF AN EXHIBITOR’S CHILD is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the days of the shows. Vehicles in unloading zone must be left running. 4 – 6 Month (Beginner Puppy) Competition The Four-To-Six Month (Beginner Puppy) Competition is open to all Rottweilers which are four months of age and over but under six months of age on the day of the event. Enter on the regular entry form as an “Additional Class.” Classes will not be divided by sex in this competition. The Certificate of Merit (CM) title is an introductory title to AKC conformation events. Entrants shall compete for Best of Breed in Four-To-Six Month (Beginner Puppy) Competition and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed in Four-To-Six Month (Beginner Puppy) Competition. The Winner of the Best of Breed in Four-To-Six Month (Beginner Puppy) Competition will be awarded points toward the CM title based on the number of dogs defeated. The Winner of Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed in Four-To-Six Month (Beginner Puppy) Competition will be awarded points toward the Certificate of Merit (CM) title based on the number of dogs defeated in their sex. The Certificate of Merit requires 15 points awarded in accordance with the following points structure. Dogs Competing 2 4 8 12 16 Points 1 2 3 4 5 Eligibility 1. AKC registration number or an AKC litter number will be required for entries of an AKC recognized breed as listed in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. 2. A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. 3. All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian’s protocol. 4. Professional handlers are not permitted to exhibit in this class. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs, or has belonged, to a professional handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay. Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise. Entry Fee: $15.00, includes $2.00 AKC fee. Notice – Waiver of Rights Please DO NOT LEAVE ANY DOGS IN CLOSED VEHICLES. Do not leave your dogs in unlocked cars. If any dog is seen to be suffering from extreme temperatures where it is confined without supervision a Nevada Humane Officer, or a Security Officer, will be notified to handle the situation. Violators may be reported to the Event Committee for disciplinary action. All persons attending these events herby waive any claim for damages against the club or its members, in the event a motor vehicle has to be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or improperly vented conditions. Spayed and neutered animals are eligible. Working Dogs Working Bitches A class for Dogs and a class for Bitches with working/performance titles: The Dog/Bitch must have earned one or more of the following: AKC titles: CD; RN; TD; HS; NA; NAJ; NJP; NF; NFP; or an American Rottweiler Club CS. A Dog/Bitch is also eligible if it has earned one of the following titles: SchH A; SchH I; VPG I; FH; BH; AD. Copy of title and/or Scorebook must be included with the entry. Spayed and Neutered animals are ineligible to be entered in this class. Champions of Record are eligible to enter. Winners of the above Non-Regular Single Dog classes, if otherwise undefeated, are eligible to compete for Best of Breed. Best Puppy from the Regular Classes and Best Bred by Exhibitor Classes: Winners of Best Puppy or Best Bred by Exhibitor are not, by right of winning this award eligible to compete for Best of Breed. Best of Breed Competition: The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs that according to their owners’ records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owner’s records. AKC Select Dog and Bitch are and ARC Awards of Merit will be awarded following Best of Breed. ARC Award of Merit (AOM): All dogs eligible for the Best of Breed Competition shall be considered of these awards. At the discretion of the intersex judge, the maximum number of Award of Merit Awards that may be given shall be 10% of the Best of Breed entry, including Veterans, Winners and Working Dog/Bitch. That 10% with no consideration to sex, is in addition to the ones automatically given Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed winners and the AKC Grand Championship Select Dog and Bitch (if awarded). AKC Select Awards: Two (2) can be given – Select Dog & Select Bitch – award is at discretion of the judge. NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES (The winners of these Classes will NOT be eligible to compete for Best of Breed) Stud Dog Class*—For Stud with two Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC Policy, or the standard for its breed. The Get only will be judged based on their merits. Get must be entered and shown in a Regular or Non-Regular Class. Use the space for “Additional Entry”. Brood Bitch Class*— Same as for the Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. *Chapter 11, Section 8: of the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows” provides that a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or less or of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused dir ectly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name.
