The Virtek LaserMC minimizes skilled labor while maximizing production. It’s as
simple as feeding data into the computer and selecting a wall panel for which
lumber is to be marked and cut. LaserMC does the rest. The system’s optimizing
sequence even determines how best to produce the parts – while minimizing scrap
lumber. LaserMC software interfaces with common panel design packages.
Since LaserMC is fully automated, you benefit from maximum efficiencies.
Not only does the system save time over traditional measuring and marking,
its high level of accuracy also minimizes costly scrap and rework. Cutting and
marking become a single process, further reducing your production time and labor
requirements, while improving material handling. The result is higher throughput.
That means greater productivity for your operation.
Virtek’s proprietary LaserMC software
interfaces with common panel design
packages.
Both the top and bottom plate can be fed at the same time, and the system can
handle component lengths up to 24'. LaserMC automatically moves the lumber into
position, where it is marked with the required symbol or data for each joint location,
using a Class IV 50 watt laser. The system also provides for user-defined marking
and symbols, and offers production reporting capabilities.
As the marked lumber travels through the system, it is cut automatically as
required. Cuts may be straight or beveled for lumber sizes 2" to 10" thick. Once cut,
the lumber may be moved from the saw manually or on a powered conveyor for
stacking or bundling. Upon completion, panel components are taken to the assembly area for panel construction.
