1 1st Cor. 10:31 “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Praise God for another safe trip. Praise God for all the children. Praise God for all of or visitors this month. We need cd players for people who cannot read. We want them to have the bible on cd. If you can send them somewhere in the U.S let us know and we will pick them up. Thank all of you who support this ministry. We need your help for our vision to build “Casa de Milagros.” 2 Pastor John`s letter… My trip to Phoenix to help bring a load of Bibles and orthopedic items back to our mission field in and around Zihuatanejo, Gro. Mexico Feb. 9-19. 11:30 PM on the 9th I left Zihua by bus to Guadalajara, Julisco where in the following morning I caught another bus to Mazatlan. In Mazatlan I stayed in a hotel for a little less than 20 dollars US and the next day caught a bus to Nogalas, Mexico and then another to Phoenix where my sister picked me up. The total cost for the trip to Phoenix from Zihuatanejo was 88 dollars US to cover 1600 miles. I ride half price because I am special, well, just old enough and a Mexican resident. What was the trip like? I read; got caught up in my Bible reading, prayed mucho and read a book that was given me called, “Not a Fan” by Kyle Idleman. This book was about the difference in being a fan of Jesus and a follower. It is an amazing book that I recommend everyone to get this book and read it, study it and meditate on the Bible verses it shares. I preached Feb. 21 on this book when I returned. That part of my traveling proved not to have been a waste of time. We all need time alone with our Lord and I took advantage of the quiet time in reading and praying and meditating on the Word of God. My sister picked me up and we had a wonderful time together, just the two of us. She is all I have left of my family, except for her children. We visated some dear friends who have been involved with our ministry in Zihuatanejo and met some new people who plan on moving full time to Zihuatanejo and serve the Lord. They are not sure yet what or how they will serve, but they are interested in what we are doing. 3 The main reason for the trip was to meet up with Dave Ward who drove from my home town loaded with Bibles and orthopedic equipment for our mission in Zihuatanejo. Dave is planning on staying for 6 months and maybe moving full time to work with us. He has visited us several time and likes what is happening with our mission and feels God is calling him here. We drove back together with his Subaru Van loaded to the max. We crossed in New Mexico and for a first time in several years we crossed without paying anything thanks to 4Sq Mexico giving us a document that all the things we were carrying will be used through our church, which is now an official registered church under a nonprofit church organization in Mexico. We are still an inter denominational church working with many different denominations for the Glory of our Lord God and doing all what we do under the protective covering of the Four Square denomination of Mexico. This relationship is becoming more and more a blessing. Dave and I took turns driving and it took three and a half days driving. We listened to the Bible on tape, talked about our lives in serving Jesus and I worked on the sermon I was preparing based on “Not a Fan but a Follower of Jesus.” When we got home we both were tired and road weary and we thanked our Lord for a safe trip. We did have a flat tire in the middle of a freeway and had to unload everything to get to the spare and the spare was low on air. Just then a Green Angle truck pulled up. The Green Angles are trucks that patrol the highways to give assistance to people with car troubles. They put air into the tire and directed us to a tire shop 13 miles down the road. They were thanked and we shared Jesus with them and with the tire shop that fixed the flat. The young owner received a Children Bible for his kids, the only Bible I could get to after reloading the truck. Five cases of Children Bibles were part of our 4 Load. And these are the Bibles that the children Beti teaches love. Is not God good. This was my 6th trip crossing the border this season and like I have said so many times, “No Mas.” But I know that if the Lord wants me to drive and bring in blessings for our ministry, I will go. God never says it will be easy to follow Him. As for me, there is no other way to live than following my Lord God and Savior of my life. We arrived Feb. 19th in the evening and on Sunday the 21st I preached a message that was directed to me - “Not a fan, but a follower of Jesus” based on the book I read during my traveling. We need to pick up our crosses, daily, and follow Jesus. This is a subject I really want to focus on. “Daily” we die to ourselves and become more like Jesus. A tough act to follow but we can through the Holy Spirit Who lives in us believers. I am a believer and a lot more than a fan. Beti`s letter… Dear family in Christ, the Bible says in 1st Timothy 1:12 “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,” and this is what he has allowed us to do in His name: The pastor John has been leading this church for 16 years…I have seen him prepare a sermón every week to share a good message to glorify our Lord. 5 He started sharing the Gospel in jail many years ago…for that reason we got to Vistamar, a small comunity close to the airport…I am teaching English and the Bible to several kids and I’m still trying to encourage these ladies to open their heart to God… 6 He started a walking prayer over some communities and the Lord opened doors for us to share His love with kids in some áreas here in Zihuatanejo. 7 This is another idea pastor John had and it has been a blessing too, the movie night! We are sharing Jesus at the garbage dump with several kids. The brother Sid Reimer and his Mennonite team have been working hard in that ares. They started a meal program for the kids which has been a blessing… 8 Here you will see some pictures from Playa Linda, the mission our Lord is using to change kid’s lives! Awsome! 9 We are His church and we rejoice celebrating happy b-days, serving Christ Jesus together, all glory to God our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! 10 In His love, Beti Sullivan… Pastor John… You see that Cristian did not write anything. It is not because he was not busy and working. He was involved in a number of spiritual events that took place in and around Zihuatanejo with other church groups. We want to work with others Churches and without Cristian that has not been possible for me because of my poor Spanish. He is also preparing for a huge youth Camp event where there will be more than 400 youths involved. He is raising money for this and is bringing in spiritual worship leaders and pastors to share a Christ centered three day event to get youth excited to share Jesus in their homes, schools and neighborhoods. And that is something we all need too.
