The Whyte & Mackay Group, established in Glasgow in 1844, is synonymous with leading global Scotch whisky brands such as Dalmore, Isle of Jura, Fettercairn and Whyte & Mackay itself, and through the natural landscapes of Scotland, and the flawless raw ingredients available to us, we are able to craft own label whisky to meet the specific needs of markets around the world. We are one of the world leaders in the supply of own label whisky, crafted by years of experience, skill and detail by our master distillers in the Highland, Speyside and Island regions of Scotland, the birthplace of the water of life (Gaelic – uisge beatha). One of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, Fettercairn, is sited in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland and contains two wash stills and two spirit stills Whyte & Mackay Private Label is immersed in the history and heritage of Scotch whisky providing us with the necessary expertise and knowledge to distinguish us from others in the own label whisky market. 02 Emperador Quality Brands Whyte & Mackay Scale Our parent company Emperador, owns the worlds largest brandy and the worlds second largest brand. Whyte & Mackay also produces Glayva liqueur and Vladivar vodka as well as distributing Russian Standard vodka, Cockspur and Flore de Cana rums Whyte & Mackay has remained true to itself and its founders James Whyte and Charles Mackay’s in pioneering spirits for over 160 years. Our Parent company Emperador sold 33 million cases in 2013. What we do Building on our core foundations, Whyte & Mackay Private Label is passionate about the art of whisky making and obsessive about flawless customer service. Our range of maturation warehouses continuously receives an impressive variety of whisky types allowing us to build whisky stocks which importantly guarantees our customers certainty of supply and consistent product quality over the long term. We have four key malt distilleries and a grain distillery in Scotland, supported by a full infrastructure of maturation bonded warehouses, and a state of the art production facility based just outside Edinburgh. We supply cased own label, bulk liquid and tertiary brands for exclusive use providing our discerning customers with both traditional and innovative whisky styles and resulting in award winning product being sold throughout many global markets, whether extra matured premium blends for bespoke clientele or a quality blend for the mainstream market. Any whisky labeled as Scotch, must be distilled in Scotland, and matured for a minimum of three years. Whisky only matures in the cask, and not in the bottle. Whyte & Mackay Private Label provide a truly integrated own label Scotch whisky understanding, and in the current market place, there is no better solutions provider. In addition we are also happy to discuss supply of Caribbean rum from Barbados or a variety of wine based flavoured spirits. Massive Production Experience Experience Experience Through the five distilleries, Whyte & Mackay can produce over 40 million litres of alcohol every year. The Dalmore malt distillery has been producing malt whisky since 1839. In 2010 the Isle of Jura distillery did celebrate its 200th anniversary. At any one time we store over 1 million whisky casks in our traditional warehouses around Scotland. 05 Product Whyte & Mackay Private Label can draw from over 160 years of craftsmanship, skill and knowledge to create a variety of products to meet market demand. We think we are unique in that we hand craft a bottle of 64 year old Dalmore that can sell for more than $100,000 as well as making Value brands for supermarkets Previously Whyte & Mackay 30 year old blend has been voted the best blended whisky in the world. It’s embedded within our people, from master distiller, to key account managers and our warehouse men and women, simply because our reputation over many years has been built upon not only the attributes of our product, but also entire experience from sampling to delivery. The world’s leading industry bodies have awarded both our blends and malts. Our Master Distiller, Richard Paterson, is not only accepted as an acclaimed voice on whisky, but is third generation Distiller, commonly known as ‘The Nose’ and simply is our very own human encyclopedia on this beautiful product called whisky. Our Master Blender, is not only that, he is our ambassador across the globe. Known by his nickname ‘The Nose’ he is responsible for creating our award winning products Richard has the same passion for our customers brands as he does our own and will only release a liquid that he is proud of. This is why our private label brands regularly win top international awards. Recognition American Oak Homegrown Maturing In 2014 Whyte & Mackay won over 70 medals in worldwide competitions for its range of whiskies. Our whiskies are matured in only the finest American Oak barrels which are cared for by our master craftsmen in Scotland. We use only homegrown Scottish barley to make our award winning whiskies. To be a Scotch whisky, the spirit must mature in oak casks in Scotland for at least 3 years. 11 Innovation While the crystal clear waters of Scotland don’t lie still, neither does time, and with this comes continued innovation. Product development is driven by innovation… new blends, new casks, advanced production methodology. Whyte & Mackay is at the heart of originality... the driving force of innovation in Scotch whisky. Quite simply, our aim is to deliver what the customer requires. We continually aim to produce product styles designed to provide the customer with market advantage over their competitors. Collaboration is key. We work together with our customers, we learn from them and they learn from us. By working side by side in partnership, we deliver innovative products, packaging and marketing that put quite simply, achieves the end goal of our clients. Our partnerships with clients, and our understanding of their business requirements, mean that Whyte & Mackay are a driving force in new technology and logistics, providing a full 360o service. We offer a wide range of packaging solutions from the mainstream, high volume brand to the premium bespoke products in gift cartons. Our production facility has 8 lines with a capacity of 6 million 8,4L cases per year. 12 Caring for the Environment Relationships Exclusivity Turnaround We are continuously working with our glass suppliers to create new lightweight bottles to help with waste in the environment. Whyte & Mackay has been the own label Scotch whisky supplier to some of the words largest retailers for nearly 30 years. We own propriety bottles to give customers exclusive packaging for their products. From when we have artwork we can turn round new product development into finished goods in eight weeks. Global reach With many existing markets in the world already being serviced by Whyte & Mackay, we invest a great deal of time exploring and researching new market opportunities. The world is a changing place and we’re at the forefront of the provision of own label and bulk liquid to over 100 countries in our ever developing market sector.
