After the holidays, just cut your tree into threefoot-long sections and stack them next to the green yardwaste Toter® between December 26 and January 4. Trees may always be cut to fit inside the yardwaste Toter®. Trees placed in the green Toter® must be free of tinsel, flocking, ornaments, and tree stands. The Toter® lid must be able to close. Trees with these materials may be cut up and placed in your gray trash Toter® or call for a special pickup. Treecycling Donations Please consider supporting local youth groups that recycle trees. Tree recycling is one way Boy Scout troops and other youth groups raise funds after Christmas. These groups will collect whole trees for a small donation.
