Girls and boys who have completed grades 4-6 can
acquire confidence in using their Bible this summer. This
Tuesday, June 11, is the first of nine sessions planned to
train them to locate passages in their Bible. These
sessions will be from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon. In
addition to learning the books of the Bible in order, they
will also learn where 10 major passages are located, and
be able to locate those passages effortlessly in their
Bible. Children may bring their own Bible from home or
one will be provided for them to use while they are here.
Pastor Lee is eager to pass along to the children the
delight of being familiar with the Bible. Girls and boys
who participate will grow in their love for God. It is not
necessary to attend every session, but the greatest benefit
is gained by attending as many as possible. Each girl and
boy who takes advantage of these discipleship sessions
will have a skill and resource that is of great benefit in
their spiritual lives for all their earthly lives.
Worship with Greater Providence
Sunday evening, June 30
Greater Providence Baptist has invited Mint Hill
Baptists to be guests in worship at
2000 Milton Road, Charlotte.
The worship time begins at 6:00 p.m.
FROM THE STUDY OF
PASTOR LEE PROCTOR
Do you personally know ANY people who do not have a
life-enriching relationship with Jesus? I’ve become
conscious that, in these days, some Christians do not have
any awareness of the spiritual condition of their unsaved
neighbors and work associates. Too many Christians
develop an insensitivity to people who are nice and lost,
or perhaps it is nice but lost. You do not wish to be
included in that group, I know. When you personally
know people who have no daily connection with God
through faith in Jesus, God has appointed you to be HIS
messenger of the Good News to them. Report to them
how God interacts with you each day. Tell them what you
read in T.A.G. that encouraged you and caused you to
know God more intimately (Today I read Psalm 85, and
found this in verse 12: “The Lord will provide what is
good . . .” That verse gives me strength, when it seems to
me that what has come in life is not good, to wait for
God’s provision. HE will provide what is good.) When
God answers your prayer, tell those who do not know
HIM personally. (“I have a friend who really wanted to
give birth to children. I’ve been praying about that, and
she’s eleven weeks pregnant now!!! God is good and HE
is the giver of life!!!) Because God is enriching your life,
testify to others about HIM. Especially witness to those
who are unsaved. God has put you in the life of lost
people. I’m sure of that. HE loves them and wants them
to know HIM. HE blesses you, so you will tell them
about HIM. You want to serve the Lord? Then make a list
of people who live around you, who work with you, who
have connection with you personally in some way. Begin
to pray silently for them, especially every time you talk
with them or see them. When God does something good
in your life, think “I should be sure to tell this to all those
people God has put into my life who do not yet know
HIM.” Jesus enriches your life; share that with others.

Sermon Series from 1 Samuel. Sunday morning, June 30 is
the final message from the book of Hebrews. We’ll observe
Lord’s Supper and the text is Hebrews 13:10-14, and the
sermon title is “Sanctified Only by Jesus’ Sacrifice.” God has
given insight into HIMSELF as HE has spoken through
Hebrews in our worship. Sunday evening, I plan to begin a
new series from the book of 1 Samuel. We’ve been invited to
be the guests of our brothers and sisters at Greater
Providence Baptist Church. 1 Samuel 1:1-28 is the text, and
the title is “When You Keep a Promise You Made to
God.” Come ready, both on Sunday morning and on Sunday
evening, to thank God that you continue to know more about
HIM, and become more intimate with HIM.
Pastor Lee Proctor
“If you’re happy and you know it clap your
hands! If you’re happy and you know it clap
your hands! For the Father up above is looking
down with love if you’re happy and you know
it clap your hands.” This fun song of
celebration is one that I grew up with. It’s
cute, it get’s people of all ages to move and
dance a little because they are happy and they
know it. Did you know that this cute little
song we sing when we are happy is something the bible
tells us to do? James 5:13 says “Is any among you
afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing
psalms.” The Lord has blessed us and often gives us
happiness! Lift up you’re voice and sing when you are
happy and when the Lord blesses you and gives you joy!
Steve Stevens
MHBC thank you for the prayers on
Monday. They were felt. After departing
the church, about an hour into our
journey, Jason and I got the pleasure of
teaching some of your kids how to repair
and change a tire. (An Inman and a Harrell got to help).
We also had a key lost on the first evening which incurs a
$75 fee.
However, thanks to technology and a psi sensor, we
were able to recognize the flat and repair it in a timely
manner. Then the key was eventually found when steps
were retraced. I consider both of those to be serious
answers to the prayers lifted up by you. Thank you.

Dear Church Family,
Tammy and I (Keith) are so grateful for your loving provision
of the missionary residence during our time of Stateside
Assignment this last year. We would like to express a special
thanks to Bobby and Dottie Berry for everything they have
done to make the house more comfortable. I especially
enjoyed the beautiful prayer garden and my refreshing quiet
times of prayer and meditation in the mornings. We also want
to thank you for the special love offering you gave us as we
return to Jordan. We continue to be amazed at how God
provides for our every need. Thanks for loving us and we
have enjoyed you letting us touch your lives this year as
well. Your friendship in Christ is a gift which fills us with
praise for God’s goodness every day. Pray for Christ to shine
through us as we pray for you as well.
Co-laborers in Christ,
Keith and Tammy Summey

fears and trust God as they zip along the roller coaster of
life. Through every twist, turn, and dive kids will learn that
God has not given them a spirit of fearfulness, but a spirit
of power, love, and sound judgment. At the end of the
