Telstra Wholesale Wavelength Service WHOLESALE The ability to scale backhaul capacity rapidly and efficiently is essential in today’s evolving telecommunications market. A new generation of business and residential end user applications has emerged; complex, diverse and demanding on bandwidth. The Telstra Wholesale Wavelength Service caters for the increasing need for high capacity backhaul and reliable performance. The Telstra Wholesale Wavelength Service provides high bandwidth, point-to-point connectivity between network points of presence (PoPs). Based on Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology, the solution enables rapid upgrade and allows configuration of your service depending on your needs. Delivered over Telstra’s reliable and secure optical fibre network, our Wavelength Service offers bandwidth options of 1Gbit/s Ethernet, 10Gbit/s Ethernet, 2.5Gbit/s SDH and 10Gbit/s SDH in selected capital city metro areas and inter-capital routes. 2 Enable rapid and economical bandwidth increases Once the initial DWDM equipment is installed, additional 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps or 10 Gbps services between the same end points can be installed or scaled up efficiently and with minimal disruption.
