See the flyer on the facing page for all the details! Camp Chai Summer Day Camp Rick Concoff was recently reminded how powerful a Jewish Day Camp experience for a Jewish child or teen can be. Recently he was promoting camp to various religious schools, and was excited to meet with the current 7th graders who are eligible for our Counselor in Training (CIT) program this summer. Two of the 7th graders cited their 'Trip to Israel' at Camp Chai a number of years ago. They remembered a whole day dedicated to 'visiting Israel' during Camp Chai. The way the counselors creatively made the 'trip' happen still lives as an exciting memory. They want to bring that and so much more to the younger children attending this summer. This is the legacy of Camp Chai. Camp will once again be led by Rick Concoff, Director, Aaron Selya, Assistant Director and all of our great counselors. Reserve your space at Camp Chai now for the last two weeks of June. Look for registration information inside this newsletter. Where Kids Create Positive Identities, Friendships & Memories Camp Chai has been an important part of the Jewish Community in Sonoma County for over 25 years. It is a wonderful place for children to experience camp in a safe, well-organized program. Many of our counselors and CITs are former campers who have experienced the love of camp and want to share it with others. Our long-time Director, Rick Concoff, is a local educator, youth leader and Jewish advocate who brings years of experience with him. Camp Chai offers campers the opportunity to bond with other Jewish children and learn about their shared heritage in a fun, active, child-centered atmosphere. The Camp Chai program includes learning and saying daily blessings, expressing gratitude, and looking at how we interact with others in our daily lives. All are welcome regardless of religious observance and affiliation Camp Chai Registration Please complete a separate form for each camper. Online registration is available at www.jccsoco.org.
