W in C C /T M C S 2 7 5 The new WinCC/TM-OS operator system described in this catalog permits operation of TELEPERM M systems for the first time with the same desktop as for the SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system. Like the SIMATIC PCS 7 operator station, a WinCC/TM-OS operator system is based on the SIMATIC RI45 industrial PC with the Windows NT operating system, the WinCC basic software, and SIMATIC PCS 7 optional packages. They communicate with the subordinate TELEPERM M automation systems and with SIMATIC S5-155U systems via the CS 275 or PROFIBUS-TM system bus. As a result of the variable configuration with single-user or multi-user systems, where the OS basic unit communicates with several terminals via a terminal bus, the operator systems cover the complete range of applications from low-end to top-end performances. The OS 525 operation and monitoring system is described in Catalog PLT 122. W in C C /T M -O S S in g le P R O F IB U S -D P The subsystems of the TELEPERM M process control system are divided into function units which are optimized for the various tasks associated with process automation: ■ Automation systems ■ Operator systems for operation and monitoring ■ Engineering systemes ■ Bus systems. The TELEPERM M connection is not only limited to conversion of the protocol. Configuring assistants as well as optional standardized displays, the WinCC/TM-OCX (NORA), permit easy WinCC configuring on the basis of AS user data. This catalog is out of date, see note on page 2 System architecture WinCC/TM-OS Position within TELEPERM M WinCC/TM-OS can be used for the operation and monitoring of the following TELEPERM M automation systems: ■ AS 388/TM and AS 488/TM, ■ AS 235, AS 235 K, AS 235 H as well as the following systems which are no longer available: ■ AS 230, AS 230 K, AS 215, AS 220 S and AS 220 H. The WinCC/TM-OS can be configured as a single-user system (WinCC/TM-OS-Single system unit) or as a multi-user system (WinCC/TM-OS-Server and WinCC/TM-OS-Operator Terminal system units). Fig. 1/1 shows an example of single-user systems for TELEPERM M migration where the existing TELEPERM M components – which are networked via CS 275 – are connected via a CS-L2 bridge to new components on the basis of PROFIBUS-TM. Both WinCC/TM-OS-Singles can exchange information with TELEPERM M automation systems of the other system bus via the CS-L2 bridge providing the bridge performance permits this. Fig. 1/2 shows a preferred configuration for the TELEPERM M migration of Fig. 1/1 when using multi-user systems. With this system configuration, the WinCC/ TM-OS-Operator Terminals are networked via a terminal bus with two WinCC/TM-OSServers of which one is connected on the TELEPERM M CS 275 system bus and the other on the TELEPERM M PROFIBUS-TM system bus. Separate OS servers are required for the AS 414 and AS 416 automation systems of the SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system. The operator terminals currently have a fixed assignment to the individual OS servers. Free assignment of the operator terminals to any server will be available soon and permit communication between any operator terminal and all of the subordinate automation systems. Communication via the CS-L2 bridge is retained exclusively for AS cross-communication. The operating, maintenance and supervisory personnel are able to follow the process activities on standard and application-displays, edit actual process values, or communicate with the process. It is also possible to acknowledge alarms and operator prompts on the operator systems. The WinCC/TM-OS operator systems are based on ■ SIMATIC WinCC with the Windows NT operating system, ■ I & C system extensions of the WinCC basic software, and ■ WinCC options for TELEPERM M, comprising – WinCC/TM-OCX (standardized displays of AS function blocks, page 2/5) and – WinCC/TM interfacing packages for connection to a PROFIBUS-TM or CS 275 system bus (page 3/10) The configuration data and archive data are stored in a relational database from where they can be read out using the standard features ODBC and SQL. Applications running parallel to WinCC, such as the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet program, can load process data via the DDE interface. The integral OPC server (OLE for process control) is able to make all process data available for other applications (OPC clients). To satisfy the process control requirements, the screen is divided into three areas (Fig. 2/1): ■ Overview with central plant overview ■ Working area for the output of plant displays, curves, alarms etc. ■ Button area with the required operating functions The TELEPERM M alarm signalling function supports the operator in the handling of sporadic events. These events are reported as they occur and originate from normal, unusual or undesirable states in the process or I & C functions. Operator interventions are also fully incorporated into the alarm concept. These are managed in alarm lists (Fig. 2/2) and archives in the same way as process alarms. There are three different types of alarm: • Process alarms • I & C alarms • Operational alarms 1) Tag: I & C function unit (measuring point, controller, actuator etc.) to which a processing and operating function belongs. I & C alarms are caused by faults on the components of the process control system itself. Faults of this type range from the failure of a component up to a wire-break alarm for a connected sensor. Operational alarms are generated by operator interventions, e.g. when changing the mode of a closed-loop controller. Reports The WinCC/TM-OS systems have an integrated report system which is used to generate reports for user data, current messages and archived messages. Reports are electronic page templates which are supplied once with the necessary data when a report is generated, and then output to the appropriate screen, printer or file. All graphic tools can be used for generating reports as when generating process displays. Logs Operating logs are a system function based on the standard faceplates in the libraries. They are integrated into the alarm sequence log as single lines in the same manner as process alarms and I & C alarms. The alarm sequence log is thus an archive for all alarms and can be output on the screen or printer or exported to an external data medium. Archives To permit long-term data storage, the data recorded using WinCC/TM-OS such as measured values, logs and alarm sequence logs can be exported to an external data medium using the option "Storage” (page 4/8). Further processing of the data is possible using PC tools. Control system software In the WinCC/TM-OS operator system, the WinCC basic software is supplemented by special software components designed for the requirements of process control engineering (OS instrumentation and control software). Split screen wizard The split screen wizard permits setting of user-specific desktops for process control, the screen resolution and multi-channel operation. With multi-channel operation, 2 or 4 monitors can be connected to one operator terminal, and can all be operated using one mouse and one keyboard. The required multi-VGA graphics card is described on page 4/6. Sign-of-life monitoring The “Sign-of-life monitoring” function monitors the automation systems and operator systems that are connected to the system bus for correct functioning. Sign-of-life monitoring is automatically activated when the WinCC/TM-OS starts up and takes place at intervals between 10 seconds (default setting) and 1 minute. The overall status of the plant can be visualized by the operator stations (Fig. 2/3). After pressing the appropriate function key on the OS, a plant configuration display is generated without any additional configuring inputs and shows the monitored components together with their respective operating status. Failure of AS and OS systems is signalled by an I & C alarm as well as a corresponding identification in the plant configuration display. The values and statuses of failed automation systems are also identified in WinCC/TM-OS as being faulty. Temporary curve combinations are also possible. The operator can select either a cyclic archive or a follow-up archive. This enables, inter alia, the blocking and releasing of areas. A total of 50 users can be administered in up to 10 groups (Fig. 2/5). The program already generates the first group (administrator group) with the first user (administrator). Online control of all object properties is possible, i.e. the appearance of all graphic components can be controlled by the values of variables or by programs, e.g. the color of a line or the size of a circle. Incorporation of online control can be carried out directly, using graphic support or with ANSI-C in actions. Alarms and archive values can be incorporated as components of the graphic display. Action control within the complete project permits the incorporation of user-specific, technological and branch-specific functions. TM Tools The TM tools integrated in the WinCC/TM interfacing package provide configuring assistants with a mapper for cross-reference data from PROGRAF AS+ as well as an alarm generator. A description of the TM tools can be found on page 3/10. This catalog is out of date, see note on page 2 Instrumentation and control functions WinCC/TM-OS WinCC/TM-OCX (NORA) Application The WinCC/TM-OCX (NORA) permits the standardized display of AS standard function blocks in various hierarchy levels (group/loop display), comparable with the standardized displays of the OS 525 operation and monitoring system. The user can select either English or German as the language. The connection to the process is achieved by linking to the AS standard function blocks. Linking to the process variables is carried out by the interactive graphic element OCX (Object Control ActiveX). The WinCC/TM-OCX (NORA) program package thus not only facilitates display configuring, it greatly contributes to the simplification and acceleration of the complete OS configuring. The OS control system software for process control and, depending on the system, also for OS configuring, are preinstalled on the operator systems. The OS-Single and OS-Server operator systems are available as two types: ■ As complete systems for process control and OS configuring ■ As low-priced system units only equipped with a runtime license If required, local operation is also possible using operation channel extensions, membrane keyboards and panelmounted monitors. WinCC/TM-OS-Single and WinCC/TM-OS-Server are designed for both process control (runtime) and configuring modes. In addition to process control, these system units can thus also be used for integration of AS data into the set of variables and for the configuring of alarms and graphic desktops. The single-user system and OS server are also offered as pure runtime systems particularly for the implementation of plants with central OS configuring. Completely equipped WinCC/ TM-OS-Single systems are used as the central configuring systems in these plants. All other single-user systems/ OS servers can be equipped with the cheaper runtime systems. Online configuring is not possible with such plant configurations, but this is counteracted by the large difference in price and the central data storage. It is used to exchange data between the automation systems as well as between the automation systems and the operator systems or engineering system. The TELEPERM M process control system works with two system buses. These are the proven CS 275 system bus and the PROFIBUS-TM system bus which is based on modern communication technologies. The ”-TM“ annex to PROFIBUS indicates that the communication mechanisms of the CS 275 system bus are used at the user level, based on the bus protocol according to EN 50170. This concerns the protocols for exchange of analog values, binary values and alarms, and the read/write parameter functions. Data exchange between the two system buses is possible via a CS-L2 bridge. The bridge is described in Catalog PLT 112. E T 2 0 0 M This catalog is out of date, see note on page 2 Bus communication WinCC/TM-OS PROFIBUS-TM system bus Specification/theory of operation The AS 388/TM and AS 488/ TM automation systems are connected together, to WinCC/TM-OS operator systems and to ES 500 engineering systems via the PROFIBUS-TM system bus. The operator systems are connected to PROFIBUS-TM via the CP 5412 (A2) interface module. A system-specific version of the WinCC/TMPROFIBUS interfacing package is used for communication with the automation systems (see Catalog Section “Operator systems”). PROFIBUS operates according to the token passing procedure to EN 50170 (PROFIBUS). Characteristic for PROFIBUS-TM is that the TELEPERM M communication mechanisms of the CS 275 system bus, e.g. AKS, BKS, MKS and PL/PS messages, are applied at the user level (interface between bus interface module and application) based on the bus protocol according to EN 50170. Since configuring of communication is identical for both system buses, the PROFIBUS-TM bus can be connected to the CS 275 bus via the CS-L2 bridge. A data transfer rate of 1.5 Mbits/s is used for communication between the TELEPERM M components via the PROFIBUS-TM system bus. With PROFIBUS, the stations are connected to the bus cable via a bus connector or bus terminal. The individual segments are linked via repeaters. ■ Optical network The optical version of PROFIBUS is immune to electromagnetic interferences and suitable for long distances. Glass fiber-optic cables are preferably used. Plastic fiber-optic cables can also be used with lower requirements (short distances). The stations are connected to the optical PROFIBUS network via an optical link module (OLM). The transmission range with optical components can be up to 21 km, or up to 16 km when using a CS-L2 bridge. OLMs permit the design of an optical network with a linear, ring or star structure ■ Mixed network Mixed structures are possible with electrical and optical PROFIBUS networks. The transition between the two media is provided by the OLM. For communication between stations on the bus, there is no difference between the electrical twowire and fiber-optic systems. The connector is easy to mount and contains an integrated terminating resistor. The bus connector is plugged onto the CP 5412 (A2) communications processor in the operator system (Fig. 5/2). An optical link module (OLM) can also be connected to the bus connector. The bus connectors are available with an axial or swivelled cable outlet, in each case with degree of protection IP 20. The CS 275 remote bus connects systems at distances up to 4 km. The network can be extended up to a length of 3 x 4 km by bus couplers. The transition between the local and remote buses is handled by inductive bus converters. The local bus is redundant as standard. A redundant configuration for the remote bus is optional. Connection of WinCC/ TM-OS to the local bus The N-AT interface module is used to connect the WinCC/ TM-OS operator system to the 20-m local bus. The unit has its own housing. It is recommendable to equip the remote bus connection unit with the connection distributor for 20-m local bus. If the earthing regulations are observed, the WinCC/TM-OS system can also be connected to the remote bus via the remote bus connection (connection distributor AV) in the power distribution subrack of an AS cabinet. The remote bus cable is connected to a connector board “Remote bus”. This bus also contains – for the final station in each case – the terminating resistor for the remote bus cable. A connector board must be fitted in the remote bus connection unit (two connector boards with a redundant remote bus). Interface module N-AT The interface module N-AT connects the WinCC/TM-OS to the CS 275 system bus. The local bus interface on the module is redundant. Remote bus connection unit The remote bus connection unit is required to connect the operator systems to the CS 275 remote bus. The unit connects the operator system to a single or redundant remote bus via the interface module N-AT fitted in the basic unit. Electrical isolation between the local and remote buses is achieved at the same time. The remote bus connection unit has a housing with degree of protection IP 20 and contains its own power supply for AC 50 Hz 230 V. Single license 1.1 The customer is supplied with the software products detailed in the confirmation of order/software product note (hereinafter referred to as “software”) on the data medium indicated therein. The documentation relating to the software must be purchased separately, unless the confirmation of order states that it shall be supplied together with the software. 1.2 The customer is granted the non-exclusive right to use the software for an unlimited period of time on the hardware indicated in the confirmation of order/software product note, although each software supplied to the customer and – if the customer has been granted a copy license – each copy made by the customer shall only be used on one item of hardware at one time. Provided that the customer is not merely granted a production or run time license, he/she shall be entitled to use the software for a limited time on the appropriate hardware in order to generate a customer application. 1.3 Unless expressly prohibited on the data medium, the customer shall be entitled to make up 3 copies of each item of software, which shall be used exclusively for backup purposes. Copy license 2.1 If Siemens has granted the customer a copy license to a software, the customer shall be supplied with a written confirmation of the number of copies that he/she is entitled to make using the data medium, which is supplied with the single license and which forms the basis for the copy license. The customer is granted for an unlimited period of time the non-exclusive and non-transferable right to make the number of copies specified in the confirmation of order, use the copies in accordance with clause 1 and grant the right to use these copies to third parties. 2.2 The customer is expected to adhere to the instructions regarding copying sent with the copy license. The customer shall keep a record of the whereabouts of all the copies, which must be open for inspection by Siemens on request. 3. Warranty 3.1 Siemens shall remedy defects in the data media by replacement. 3.2 Warranty shall be assumed for the software in accordance with the warranty class. Software shall be divided into classes A, B and C. The classification can be determined from the confirmation of order/ software product note or from the catalogs and product manuals current at the time of delivery. Such reproducible deviations from the relevant documentation demonstrated by the customer and appearing in the last data medium delivered to the customer shall be deemed to be defects in the software. 3.3 In the case of software of warranty class A, Siemens shall remedy defects by delivery of a data medium with the new product release/version. Until such time as a new product release/version is delivered (update/upgrade), Siemens shall provide an interim solution bypassing the defect, provided that it is feasible at reasonable cost and that the customer can demonstrate that he/she is prevented from processing imperative jobs due to such defect. In the case of software of warranty class B, Siemens shall be obliged to provide the customer on request with such means of correcting or bypassing the defects as are avaible to Siemens. In the case of software of warranty class C, Siemens has no obligation to correct defects. 3.4 If Siemens has granted the customer a copy license, he/she can make a number of copies corresponding to the copy license according to the new product release described in Paragraph 3.3, Clause 2 also applies accordingly. If a service (repair) agreement exists between the customer and Siemens, defect diagnosis and correction may also be carried out at the place where the hardware on which the software is used in accordance with clause 1.2 is installed. The customer shall provide Siemens with all the documents and information in his/her possession necessary for correcting the defect. If Siemens corrects the defect on the customer's premises, the customer shall provide Siemens, free of charge, with access to the relevant hardware and software and undertakes to provide the appropriate working conditions with suitable operating personnel to ensure that the work can be executed efficiently. If no service (repair) agreement has been made, the customer shall reimburse Siemens for any travelling and accommodation costs incurred by sending personnel to the place of installation. 3.6 If any defect cannot be corrected within a reasonable period of time or bypassed so as to be acceptable to the customer, the customer shall be entitled to demand a price reduction or to cancel the contract. 3.7 The warranty period for all software shall be 12 months from the date of delivery of the data medium with the software in accordance with clause 1.1 to the customer or from the date of notification of readiness for dispatch. The warranty period of the copy document (single license) applies to copies made under a copy license. 3.8 All other claims under warranty are hereby excluded, except where liability is binding on the grounds of intent, gross negligence or the absence of warranted characteristics. 4. Software update service A software update service with automatic supply of updates and upgrades can be ordered separately forsingle licenses and copy licenses. Siemens then provides customers with the latest software versions for the duration of the software update service. 6. Liability 6.1 In the event that Siemens fails to provide a software and the accompanying documentation in accordance with clause 1.1 in time for reasons for which it is responsible, and as a result the customer is prevented from using the software for the purpose for which it is intended, the customer – insofar as he/she can reasonably establish that he/she has suffered direct damage owing to the delay – may claim damages of 0.5% for every complete week of delay up to a total of 5% of the price for the software. Siemens shall not be responsible for delays for reasons such as mobilization, war, revolt, strike or lock-out. 5. Payment 5.1 Siemens will invoice separately at the rates in force at the time for the following: – Support with the startup of the software. – Support with analyzing and correcting defects due to improper use or any other circumstances not inherent in the software. 5.2 Payment shall be effected immediately after delivery/completion of service and receipt of invoice. 6.2 Siemens shall be fully liable for death or personal injury arising from its negligence and shall be responsible for direct damage to property up to an amount of DM 1,000,000.- per event where such damage is caused by Siemens' negligence. In the event of loss of or damage to data media, Siemens shall not be liable for the cost of restoring lost data. Any further claims for damages from the customer other than those expressly specified in this contract, whatever the cause in law, in particular claims on the grounds of damages resulting from consultation, support with the introduction of the software or as a result of software errors, are excluded inasfar as liability is not binding, e.g. in the case of damage to items for private use or as a result of deliberate intent, gross negligence or the absence of features promised to the customer. 7. Export approvals, subagreements, assignment of contractual rights and obligations, jurisdiction 7.1 Export of the software including the data and documentation relating to it may be subject to approval – e.g. by virtue of its nature or application – (see also notes on bills of delivery and invoices). 7.2 Any sub-agreements must be made in writing. Siemens has the right to transfer its rights and obligations under this contract to a third party, unless the customer objects in writing within 4 weeks of being notified of such intention. Siemens' notification shall include details of the customer's right to object. 7.3 If the customer is a registered merchant, the place of jurisdiction shall be the domicile of the Siemens regional office.
