Who we are
Tema Fritid & Lek AB was founded in 1980 by Bertil
Seth. Over the years the company has had much
success with products such as the Rubik’s Cube,
Kalmartrissan (the Swedish yo-yo), the in-house
designed Pippi Longstocking game, Tjolahopp,
Pettson and Findus and the Nordic license for The
Lord of the Rings trilogy merchandise etc. In 2005,
after major success with The Lord of the Rings,
Bertil sold the company but in 2011 decided to start
up again. Today the company is called Tema Fritid i
Färjestaden AB.
What we do
Tema Fritid’s office is located on Svensknabben in Kalmar.
From here we look out towards the world and our Partners,
which in addition to locally and in Sweden are in Hong
Kong, Germany, China, Belgium, Italy, England, Denmark,
Finland, Norway and the USA.
Tema Fritid is involved in licensing, product development
and distribution. Toys are one of our sector areas and we
hold licences for strong brands such as The Hobbit and
Lord of the Rings.
