Built by Maharaja Man Singh in 1808, the fort is a magnificent construction which stands on a hill which itself is 120 m high. Still managed by the Jodhpur royal family, you can enter the fort through Jai Pol which is a 300 m walk from Jodhpur. You can opt for a camel safari to explore and experience the beautiful desert in Jodhpur. The desert has many camps where you can stay at night. Nai Sarak Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park The market is famous for bandhej or tie and dye fabrics which include colourful saris, suit pieces, Jodhpuri coats and turbans. A large and lovely park, it is quite ecofriendly and many native species of flora have been planted here. You can hire a guide who can give you more details about the local plants and fauna found here. Sojati Gate Market Rajasthani souvenirs, handicrafts, jewellery and tie and dye fabrics are the things that attract the shoppers to the Sojati Gate Market in Jodhpur. Station Road Lined with shopping malls and street-side stalls, the market offers Rajasthani mojri juttis, riding breeches and the traditional Jodhpuri men's suit for sale. Mochi Bazaar As the name suggests, the market is famous for footwears especially Jodhpuri juttis which can be bought from here in various colours and patterns. You can also buy junk jewellery from here. Umaid Bhawan Palace It was built in 1929 for Maharaja Umaid Singh and designed by the British architect Henry Lanchester. It has 365 rooms and the current royal family still resides in one part of it. You can visit its museum and admire maharaja's classic cars. Bishnoi Village Safari Bishnois are famous for their eco-friendly way of living and for their love of plants and animals. You can go for this safari to find out more about their unique culture and traditions. Cooking at Spice Paradise The place is run by a married couple, Anil and Rekha, who give cooking lessons and sell spices to the visitors. Horse Safari You can the wildlife of Jodhpur with a horse safari and also, ride through the Mehrangarh Fort and the Bishnoi village. Jaswant Thada Flyboy/ Paragliding It was built in the year 1899 as a memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Lined with many domes, it is a peaceful place to excuse oneself from the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy the beautiful views of the fort and the city lying below it. You can try Flyboy or the motored paragliding to get stunning views of the city from overhead. It is going to be an exciting experience. Clock Tower It is a century-old tower that is surrounded by a lively market on all sides. It was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh between 1880 and 1911.
