What makes Camp Conestogo so great?
Camp Conestogo Y Day Camp provides an ‘unplugged’ setting that
encourages connections with others and the natural world. The
beautiful setting of Guelph Lake offers unique programming that
supports youth to have fun while developing lifelong skills and realizing
the best in themselves and others.
Camp Conestogo offers a traditional camp program with highlighted
activities related to each theme throughout the week. Camp Conestogo
is unique in that campers are engaged in an outdoor setting all day with
the feel of an off-site overnight camp, but with the ability to return
home each evening to the comfort of their own beds.
Camp Conestogo is one of a kind in our community offering activities
such as low ropes, canoeing, lake swimming, nature hikes, camp fires
and more. Camp Conestogo is a great way to introduce your child
to a traditional camp experience, if they are not quite ready for the
overnight camp experience!
Camp Conestogo provides youth and teens with the opportunity
to connect and engage with nature and each other in ways that
build confidence, improve social skills and foster independence and
leadership - all while having fun!
Don’t forget to bring:
• Bathing suit and towel
• Sunscreen & hat
• Packed lunch with snacks (no nuts please)

What makes Camp Conestogo Unique?
Low Ropes
Youth will be challenged to work cooperatively to complete low ropes
course challenges. This programming offers opportunities that support
the growth of positive self-esteem through personal goal setting and
team building initiatives. Our 11 different low ropes elements such as
‘The Bermuda Triangle’, ‘Low Vee’ and ‘Cargo Crossing’ are set within
the woods and throughout our camp property to provide varying
initiatives for campers to complete each week.

What makes Camp
Conestogo Unique?
The Beach & Lake
Campers have the opportunity to enjoy a daily swim in beautiful Guelph
Lake. Our beach front is a favourite spot for campers, while they are
supported in improving their swimming technique or simply playing and
splashing with friends in the water. Campers are supported through a
swim test each Monday to help us identify all swim levels. Different
swim levels are given wrist bands and rules to follow to keep our
campers safe while enjoying their daily swim in the lake.
Camp Fire
This outdoor setting provides the opportunity for a traditional camp fire
throughout each week of camp. Campers will gain the skills to build a
camp fire safely in a small group setting, while enjoying some hands
on traditional camp fire cooking. Don’t forget about the fun camp fire
songs that campers will go home singing each day!
Nature Hikes
Campers will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the marked
trails within the camp forest. Campers will be engaged to learn
more about nature through hands on programming, created for each
individual hike, that is age appropriate and encourages our campers to
be excited about their natural surroundings.
Canoeing
Our qualified Canoe Instructor will teach campers the fundamentals
of canoeing in a fun engaging way. Campers will get to work on their
technique throughout the week to increase their skill set by Friday.
Paddling across our calm lake with friends, enjoying the beautiful
scenery and sounds is a lasting memory all campers take with them.
