Aloha!
On September 26, 2015 from 9:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m, I will be launching our

Get Informed, Get Involved, and Get inspired.
Oneʻula Beach Park is enjoyed by many Ewa Beach residents year-round, but the
heavily-used park grounds need our support. The purpose of this event is to have
conversations about the future vision for this park and improvements our residents
would like to see. This will also be an opportunity for organizations and businesses to
take a more active role in providing facilities, equipment, and cultivating park
stewardship in their community.
I urge our ʻEwa Beach residents to spread the word and tell your friends and families
about this community input day. It is absolutely fulfilling to be involved in our
community, and transforming our parks is a great way to do so. I look forward to
seeing you all there at Oneʻula Beach Park on September 26, 2015.

Jim & Vickie Kennedy contacted
Councilmember Pine’s office
requesting audible tweeting
sounds for the crossing signals at
the intersection of Keoneula
Boulevard and Kapolei Parkway.
Vickie is blind and walks with the
assistance of her guide dog, but
faces a dangerous situation trying
to cross the intersection in their
neighborhood because she cannot
determine when it is safe to cross.

Jim and I cannot thank you enough for the hard work you certainly
must have exerted to get the walk signal clickers installed at the
intersection of Keoneula and Kapolei Parkway!!!!! They work
perfectly and better than ALL others that I have had exposure to. The
sound is fairly quiet for the neighbors but is clear when standing next
to the cross buttons on the traffic light poles. They work
perfectly. God bless you! I feel very safe, thanks to you!!
Last week we were crazy busy so did not do any walking that
week. On Monday when I went to push the crosswalk buttons we were
