All Rights Reserved Catalog layout, photos and plant information designed and researched by Bert Mebane Main Growing Farm Bennett’s Creek Nursery began as a wholesale growing operation in 1974 in the Bennett’s Creek area of Suffolk, Virginia. As we continued to grow, it became evident that we needed more land to expand our growing capacity. In 1999 Bennett’s Creek Nursery purchased a new production farm. This new, 375 acre facility, is located along Route 10 in Isle of Wight County approximately 8 miles south of Smithfield. Aerial photography by Bert Mebane; Matt Sawyer, Pilot Landscape Distribution Centers In order to better serve our pick up customers, Bennett’s Creek Nursery opened our first Landscape Distribution Center in 1998. As we continued to develop our growing farm in Isle of Wight, the need to expand our distribution centers became evident. As a result we have opened additional distribution centers throughout the greater Hampton Roads area. These distribution centers are designed to allow our customers easy access to plant buying with the same quality plants you will find at our growing farm. In addition to plants the centers also carry pavers, stone, mulch, and soils to meet the needs of all your landscaping requests. SUFFOLK – We opened our first Distribution Center in 1998 at our original farm in Bennett’s Creek. This approximately 15 acre facility carries a large selection of our plant material plus a great selection of specialty plants and rewholesale material. This is also the location of our corporate office and propagation facility. WILLIAMSBURG – With our growing customer base on the pennisula, Williamsburg and Richmond, we opened our second Distribution Center in 2004. This 8 acre facility is off Penniman Road. In addition to our large selection of plants, we carry several grades of palletized and bulk stone as well as EP Henry and Unilock retaining walls and pavers. VIRGINIA BEACH – Virginia Beach is the most populated city in Hampton Roads. As a result of the continued growth, Bennett’s Creek Nursery opened a Distribution Center along with a growing farm in 2006. This 10 acre facility allows us to expand our growing capacity of spring and fall annuals and better serve the needs our Virginia Beach area customers. CURRITUCK – Our Currituck location allows us to better accommodate our customers in northeast North Carolina, the Outer Banks and the surrounding areas. This 8 acre facility has a great selection of plants including lots of salt and wind tolerant varieties.
