Encouragement for parents who have lost their child
The book
A blow from fate changed Rita Maria Nikodim’s life on a fundamental level: In December
2009 she gave birth to a stillborn daughter. After despair, pain and much questioning she
began her journey into a life full of new experiences. This Viennese resident has committed
her story to paper very movingly and in a life-affirming manner. She gives courage to every
parent by showing that even beyond death there is a heart connection, which is independent of
time and space. She feels herself to be connected with and guided by her “child of light” in a
wonderful way. Her book is autobiographical and at the same time it’s a guide to selfdiscovery, building awareness and grief work. She gives worthwhile tips to people affected on
how to deal with an exceptional emotional situation.
Rita Maria Nikodim
The classical singer and actress grew up in Lower Austria. She studied at the University of
Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and worked as an actor on stages such as the Theater an
der Wien, Raimundtheater, Landestheater Salzburg and for the ORF. From 2006 until 2012
she was the vocal coach for the Vienna Boys’ Choir, and since 2011 she has been an
improvisation teacher there. She has a fondness for voice and dialect imitation.

Nature, the Weather Prophet
How to use Animals and Plants to forecast the
Weather
Wetterprophet Natur. So nützt man Tiere und

ISBN: 978-3-85068-958-8
Release date: May 2016
Simple weather forecasting through nature observation
The book
What value do swallows, carline thistles etc. have as weather indicators? How reliable are the
“Frost Saints’ Days” and rain on the 27th of June for long-term forecasting? There are
countless indicators originating in the animal and plant kingdoms, which have always been
used for weather forecasting. In this guidebook a meteorologist, whose day-to-day job is based
on computer calculations, dares to venture onto unfamiliar terrain. This experienced weather
expert tries to strike a balance between modern meteorology, with its highly complex
predictive models, and folklore. Alexander Ohms gives many examples, which demonstrate
how the attributes of fauna and flora can indicate the weather. Meanwhile a great deal of
humbug passed down over the centuries is also not spared from criticism. Make the most of
careful weather observation and learn about the limitations of nature as a weather prophesier.
Alexander Ohms
Born in Innsbruck in 1973. After his high school graduation and meteorology and geophysics
study at Innsbruck University, he fulfilled his long-cherished ambition when in 1999 he took
a job at the customer service center for Salzburg and Upper Austria for the Central Institute of
Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG). Since then he has been principally involved in
weather forecasting there and can also be heard regularly on ORF via Radio Upper Austria
and Radio Salzburg.

Everything you need to know about this elixir of life and its health benefits
The book
Kombucha is much more than just a thirst quencher. According to folk medicine, the tea
mushroom drink has been said to have positive effects on health since time immemorial. It is
considered a home remedy for many ailments and diseases. In this book you will learn all you
need to know about the tea mushroom: a symbiosis of various yeasts and other
microorganisms. Ranges from a description of its various production techniques to its use, and
how to conserve it. Günther Frank's advice is based on years of involvement with the popular
fermented drink. A must read for all friends of Kombucha!
Günther W. Frank
Lives in Birkenfeld in the Black Forest, married, four children. Is professionally involved
with macrobiology and naturopathy. The reputation of Kombucha as a miracle cure seemed
“suspicious” to him. He looked deeply into the myth and was transformed from sceptic to
convinced admirer of the tea mushroom drink. His book is considered in Europe as well as in
other countries to be the “Kombucha Bible” par excellence. More information at

How osteoarthritis can be treated effectively
The book
Osteoarthritis, a wearing down of the cartilage, causes pain in the joints, sciatica, lumbago and
back pain. It is generally accompanied by an overall decalcification of the skeleton, but this is a
secondary consequence and it can’t be traced back to a calcium deficiency. To date the
prevailing opinion has been that osteoarthritis is a progressive and non-reversible deterioration
of the skeleton. This is not true. This negative symptom can be combatted and reversed. Ana
Maria Lajusticia Bergasa, renowned in Spain for her books about diet and nutrition, explains in
a scientific manner, but still easily understood by the lay reader, the causes of this suffering.
She offers a cure, which is based upon dietary guidelines and not medication. This cure has
proved to be effective for thousands of people.
The Author
Born in 1924 in Bilbao, worked as a chemist and nutritionist. For several years she devoted
herself to the study of dietetics and the use of healing herbs in medicine. Because of her own
severe case of osteoarthritis, she began to study the effects of magnesium and she succeeded
in largely overcoming her illness, which her doctors had diagnosed as incurable, through
magnesium intake. After that she specialized in research into nutritional deficiencies.
Also published by the author: „Die erstaunliche Wirkung von Magnesium“ („The Astonishing
Effect of Magnesium - On the importance of magnesium and problems with magnesium
deficiency“; 11th edition 2016, 25.000 copies sold). As well as that, her book on osteoporosis,
„Kampf der Osteoporose“ („The Fight against Osteoporosis”) will appear in the fall of 2016,
published by Ennsthaler Publications.

Magnesium as a significant element in health
The book
What is the role played by this element in the metabolism of living beings? There is a direct
link between magnesium deficiency, the increase in osteoarthritis, heart disease and cancer,
and many other modern health problems. Magnesium is integral to all biological syntheses,
because it forms complexes along with the so-called high-energy phosphate molecules. It also
plays a role in the so-called active transportation through cell membranes and in the
transmission of nerve currents, in muscle contraction and in the entry of certain substances into
the interior of the cell. Even this brief itemization reveals the vital importance that an adequate
supply of magnesium has for the entire organism.
What the current Nobel Prize winner in chemistry has been investigating, namely how cells
repair damaged DNA, was being covered in this book in as early as 1990.

Chinese Medicine consists of 80 per cent way of life, 10 per cent acupuncture and 10 per
cent herbal medicine.
A Way Of Life means the way we live every day: how we get up in the morning, what we eat,
how we move, how we deal with our work, how we treat our fellow human beings, how we
deal with our partners, our children, our pets, what we believe, what we are afraid of, our
attitudes to illness and death and how we go to sleep at night.
Georg Weidinger looks into these important elements of our well-being, in a direct and very
readable way. None the less, or perhaps for this very reason, in this book you will go on to
Learn a great deal about Chinese Medicine. He tells the story of his experiences and lessons
and of how he, as a Western general practitioner, found his way into the heart of Chinese
Medicine.
“In his book you will find countless wise pieces of advice pointing towards a healthy lifestyle

best is that he highlights over and over again what you can actually do for yourself.”
Professor Getrude Kubiena

went on to study Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture and music. Since 2002, he has

Treben
You can find a healing herb for every illness! The remedies of Maria Treben are
tried and tested a thousand times. This new edition is the follow up book of the
successful title “Health Through God’s Pharmacy”. The reference book is clearly

Treben experience a new actuality because of the progressive use of alternative
healing methods.
The author Maria Treben (1907-1991) is known as the pioneer in Austrian naturopathy.
Living in tune with nature was her philosophy.
As a young girl, her mother introduced her to the world of plants. When she met
biologist Richard Willfort, she developed an eye for healing herbs. He inspired
her to investigate this subject in more detail, to study books on herbs, to collect
plants and to test their healing properties.
In 1971 Maria Treben wanted to make her knowledge public. As her group of
followers had grown enormously within a very short time, someone came up with
the idea that she should gather together her advice and her experience in a book.
More than eight million copies of “Health through God’s Pharmacy” have been
sold in the meantime and the book has become a bestseller.
