PCGS VF-20 Nice light to medium brown color. Est. $375 - $425. 2 1787 8 Pointed Star Fugio Cent. M-15Y. Scarce 8 pointed star on reverse label. Fine details with light brown color and smooth surfaces. Does have a couple of obverse planchet flaws and noticeable edge bruise at 1 o’clock. Est. $250 - $300. 3 1787 Connecticut Cent. M.33.5-T.2 R-4 F-12 Mostly dark brown. A small planchet flaw is located at the 10:00 reverse rim. A very scarce variety with under 75 believed to be known. Est. $200 - $250. 4 Certified 1787 Connecticut Cent. M.31.2-R.3 ANACS Certified VF-30. The surfaces are light brown and smooth which makes this coin a real find. There are some short scratches on the central reverse which are not noted on the holder. Est. $200 - $250. 5 1787 New Jersey Certified. Small Planchet Plain Shield. NGC VF details Burnished. Actually a much nicer looking coin than the holder would lead you to believe. Any burnishing is not very apparent. Est. $175 - $225. 6 Nice 1787 New Jersey Cent. M6-D XF-40 with medium chocolate brown color. Shows just a hint of roughness otherwise this piece would be Choice. Est. $750 - $1,000. 7 Scarce 1787 Fugio Cent. Newman 3-D with Club Rays. VG-F with mostly smooth chocolate brown surfaces. Has a small reverse planchet flaw at 10:00. Est. $250 - $350. 8 1788 Massachusetts Cent. Good. With period. Date, devices and mottos are all legible though weak. Chocolate brown color. Est. $50 - $75. 9 (1792-94) Kentucky Token. Plain Edge. XF-40+ Nice light to medium brown color. Est. $200 - $250. 10 (1796) Gallery Mint Copy. Draped Bust Dollar Copy in silver. Gem Proof. A well executed copy. Est. $25 - $50. 11 Certified Colonial Pair. Includes ANACS certified: 1787 Connecticut VG Details (corroded) and a 1785 Vermont “Vermonts” landscape VG Details (corroded, damaged + bent). Both are better in the “seeing” rather than the “telling.” Total 2 pieces. Est. $125 $175. 12 2 ANACS Colonials. Included are a 1785 Vermont Landscape “Vermonts” VG Details corroded-damaged and bent and a 1787 Connecticut cent VG Details corroded. Both are much more acceptable than they sound and would interest anyone starting out in the colonial series. Est. $150-$250. 13 5 Pieces 1780’s Machins Mills/Imitation British 1/2 Penny’s. Includes 3 1787 that appear to be Machins Mills Vlack-19-87-C and another which is very close to Vlack-18-87-C but shows a period after “S” on the obverse. Also included are 2 1788 that we believe are Machins mills Vlack-23-88-A. These 5 coins are all ex Bowers and Ruddy December, 1975 and were sold as one lot (#245). The grades are fairly low (G-VG) as usually seen. We believe our attributions are correct but we are not guaranteeing them. A good study lot that could be a real find. Est. $500-750. Half Cents 14 High Grade 1804. Plain 4 No Stems. AU-50. Medium brown with nothing more than a couple of trivial marks. Est. $500 - $600. 15 1855 Mint State. BU-60+. At first glance appears to show much Mint Red. However, we believe this coin was dipped long ago and has now acquired near original coloring. Est. $175 - $200. 16 Gem Red 1855 Certified. C-1. NGC MS-65 Red. None have been graded higher at NGC. No doubt one of the finest extant. Est. $4,000 - $5,000. Large Cents 17 1793 Wreath Large Cent Certified. Vine & Bars PCGS Good Details. Environmental damage. Shows moderately rough surfaces with dark brown color. The coins details appear sharper than just a Good. Est. $1,000 - $1,250 18 1794 Large Cent Certified. S-44 Head of 1794. PCGS VF-30. Nice light brown color with smooth surfaces. Est. $2,000 - $2,500. 19 1794 NGC Certified AU Details. S-55. Chocolate brown color. The holder notes environmental damage which is light uniform granularity. One of the finest known examples of Sheldon 55. Early large cents with About Uncirculated detail are rare and this coin represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a coin that looks like a $10,000 example but can be had for a fraction of that. Est. $2,000 - $2,500. 20 1797 Large Cent Certified. S-140 Stems reverse of 1797. NGC AU Details Corrosion. Medium to dark brown but does show some scattered pitting. Est. $150 - $200. 23 1803 High Grade. Small date with Large Fraction. Sharp AU details with dark chocolate brown color. Shows some scattered light porosity on both sides and a couple of minor reverse planchet fissures along the reverse rim. Est. $500 - $750. 24 Attractive 1803. Small Date with Large Fraction. XF-40+. Medium brown color with some iridescent hues. Est. $750 - $850. 25 High Grade 1806. XF-40. Details with some fine pin scratches in the left obverse field. Dark chocolate brown with just a hint of surface roughness. Est. $700 - $900. 26 Nice 1812. VF-30. Medium to dark brown color. The coin has some “grime” in the protected areas which appears to be easily removable. We feel the originality adds to the coins appeal though. Est. $500-$750. 27 1814 Classic. G-4 Reverse Counterstamped with a .50 above “cent”. Probably some kind of attempt to get 50 cents for a penny! Est. $20-$25.
