This directory could not have been compiled without the
active and enthusiastic involvement of the Equal project promoters
who took part in the “Peer Review Seminars”, organised within the
framework of the European Platform on Fighting Ethnic
Discrimination in Employment, or that of the members of the
Steering Committee who put together the summaries concerning
The tools and strategies for the projects. We would like to extend
our warmest thanks to all of them.
This bilingual publication (English/French) has been designed to
be reader-friendly.
The projects are classified by type of actors: actors in enterprises,
local and regional actors, non profit-making and non-governmental
organisations, employment and training intermediaries, employee
representatives, media. There is a different colour for each!
Within each section, The projects are classified alphabetically by
country.
Each page contains the project strategy adopted, and the tools
developed by the project, as well as the contact details.
Please be aware that certain projects participated in several
seminars: this is the case particularly for the “Nobi”, “Kumulus
Plus”, “MigraNet”, “Promenio” and “Empléate” projects. Thus, in
order to avoid any repetition, these projects have been included in
the “Non profit-making and non-governmental organisations”
chapter.
Furthermore, the “Horizons”, “Network for the Promotion of
Interculturalism” and “Community of Goodwill” projects
participated in the “Enterprises” seminar (“Horizons”) and in the
“Local and regional actors” seminar (the other two). Despite this,
we have chosen to place them in the “Media” chapter here since
their content also corresponds to this classification, and they will
participate in the Interactive Forum on media on 23 November.
This directory is both your address book and, in the short term,
your guide to the project exhibition which will be taking place over
these two days!
For a more detailed description of these projects, more information
is available on the website: http://www.equal-europlatform.eu/

“Welcome” tool will be tried in job centers in all municipalities in
Denmark.

Project Strategies
To achieve integration in the workplace through a cooperation between
Employer groupings, human rights organisations and young business
leaders. The strategy is to offer EG member companies a service for
integration in the workplace. The goal is to achieve regular
employment.
Tools

main purpose of an EG is “skill sharing” to employ workers on one single
contract. The EGs are non-profit organisations
• It carries out numerous training sessions for company directors (on the
law or to support Human Resources in promoting the benefits of different
cultures...)
• It provides assistance to project beneficiaries (providing contacts for
employment and/or business creation)
• The project has also started a “Tour de France” on Diversity (17 SMEs
have already signed the Diversity Charter) and has produced a dozen or so
videos with interviews of actors

more effective means of making progress together.

recruitment professionals, victims of discrimination, local residents, etc.).
• Creation of a shared culture within one geographical area.
