GEORGE TJUNGURRAYI Sprache: Region: Geboren: Pintupi Kiwirrkura, Western Australia ca. 1943 © Papunya Tula Artists George Tjungurrayi wurde ca. 1943 in der Wüste in der Nähe von Kiwirrkura geboren. Zunächst lebte er in Mukula westlich von Kiwirrkura. Eines Tages lief er dann mit einem anderen jungen Mann an einer frisch eingeebneten Straße entlang nach Papunya. George begann in den frühen 80er Jahren für Papunya Tula Artists zu malen. Er ist der jüngere Bruder von Naata Nungurrayi.
