Für das Fotoshooting des Frühjahr/Sommer 2013 Katalogs entschied sich das BabyLegs-Team für die South Beach Promenade auf Staten Island, New York. Die Entscheidung fiel leicht: die Nähe zu New York City und der Blick auf Coney Island
auf der anderen Seite des Hafens bieten eine bezaubernde Kulisse.
Ende September 2012 verbrachten das Team und die Fotografin Ingrid Skousgard dort einen Tag voller Spaß und Mode,
während die Kinder im Sand und auf der Promenade spielten. Genau vier Wochen später verwüstete Hurrikan Sandy
diesen Küstenabschnitt New Yorks.
Deshalb haben BabyLegs diesen Katalog den von Hurrikan Sandy betroffenen Menschen gewidmet und an die Stephen
Siller Tunnel to Towers Stiftung gespendet. Die Organisation unterstützt unter anderem auch die Opfer von Hurrikan Katrina
und hat ein Waisenhaus auf Haiti wiederaufgebaut.

For this Spring/Summer 2013 catalog, BabyLegs chose the South Beach Boardwalk on Staten Island, New York as the
backdrop. No location scouting was needed: it was an easy selection because of its proximity to New York City and the
view of Coney Island across New York Harbor.
In late September 2012, the BabyLegs team and photographer Ingrid Skousgard spent a day of fun and fashion on Staten
Island, as the children played in the sand and on the South Beach Boardwalk. Exactly four weeks later, Hurricane Sandy
struck and wreaked havoc on this borough of New York City waterfront.
BabyLegs dedicated this catalog to the people who were severely affected by Hurricane Sandy and donated resources to
the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Initiatives of this organization include ongoing support for victims of Hurricane Katrina and rebuilding an orphanage in Haiti.
