Let me know what you think. Autumn is in the air and it’s hard to believe that November will soon be upon us. Nevertheless, we have all sorts of great events coming up in the very near future. Of course you are all headed to the Book and Author Luncheon this week (remember to take photos and send them to me!) but soon after that we have our great November 5 general member meeting where all can get bargains galore in jewelry and handbags and scarves and a terrific lunch catered by the Board. Then the Special Events committee has scheduled a special film and morning on Nov. 20. See the flyer in this issue and please print it out and respond ASAP. After that there is wonderful Thanksgiving. This is also a good time to think of contributing to Sustaining the Mind. You can either compile questions that you’ve received since the last edition or you can summarize some generic questions that are frequently asked about your organization. A listing of names and titles of managers in your organization is a good way to give your newsletter a personal touch. If your organization is small, you may want to list the names of all employees. If you have any prices of standard Attention Members: Are you aware that there is a nominating committee that selects Executive Committee Officers? Well, they meet THIS YEAR (and very soon) to select for NEXT YEAR. However, they need to know what positions interest you. No matter where you are in weeks, months, or years of membership, all of you are qualified to hold an office if you wish. The committee needs to know. Look in the Study Guide and contact a Nominating Committee member to let her know your desire. Sandy Pincus-Rush is the chairwoman of that committee. products or services, you can include a listing of those here. You may want to refer your readers to any other forms of communication that you’ve created for your organization. You can also use this space to remind readers to mark their calendars for a regular event, such as a breakfast meeting for vendors every third Tuesday of the month, or a biannual charity auction. If space is available, this is a good place to insert a clip art image or some other graphic. Finland Embassy Tour
