Rising number connected devices and gateways that support various protocols to ease control of brown goods, household appliances, gardening tools, etc. from different brands. Virtual Reality & SmartTVs: Virtual reality headsets are ready to change the entertainment industry. Whereas SmartTVs lack innovation aside from latest OLED and SUHD display technologies. Wearables & Accessories: Wearables for sport, fitness and health use cases are still dominating this new device category. The second generation of smart watches shows appealing design and materials. Smartphones & Tablets: Evolution rather than revolution, i.e. technical improvements, new market entrants, and little innovation. It sends a push notification after somebody rings the bell, so that you can open the door from anywhere. The Smart Home service by devolo comes with various sensors and actors. Devolo is a leader in providing WiFi via power line. Sensibo eTIGER Allows upgrading your old air conditioner to a smart AC unit. MyHomeBox: Google OnHub Launch announced for February 2016 for € 299. Google OnHub only serves as a WiFi-Router for approx. $ 200 sales price. Some sources compare the OnHub to Amazon’s Echo, which is a speaker controlling Smart Home devices via voice. In addition to mail and music service, it offers fitness & health tracking and cashless payments. LG Watch Urbane / Urbane Luxe Alcatel onetouch This second generation is thinner and more elegant. It focuses on individual design with different design options and a sports edition. It is compatible with Android and iOS and offers a longer battery life. Full circle watch with a metal case, that communicates with Android and iOS and has a USB port integrated in the end of the watchstrap to charge the watch. It does not have a microphone or loudspeaker and it cannot be used as phone. Huawei Watch Full circle face with POLED display, technical details have not changed much compared to the first generation: A higher value clock case in silver or gold and different design options. Full circle face with AMOLED display and a 300 mAh battery. The watch comes in different colour options: Gold, silver and black. Fitness Freebee Reflex This activity tracker is monitoring swimming behavior and counts the swimming lanes. It comes one size with different straps. Garmin vivofit2 This fitness tracker documents activity and sends a signal in case of too little activity. It offers a E-Ink display and a stopwatch. Basis Peak Activity tracker with a complex sensor technology including skin thermometer & resistance measurement and heart rate monitor. Sports Recon Jet (Intel) Recon Jet is a sports computer for longdistance runners and cyclists that is embedded into a pair of sunglasses. Speed, cadence and calories, as well as a variety of other stats – all presented on a tiny display placed below the right eye. TomTom Spark The sports watch is turning into a smartwatch with a new pulse tracker, an integrated music player and activity & sleep control. The camera is tossed vertically in the air. Its 36 fixed focus cameras automatically take a 360°panorama picture with 108 Mega-pixel. The picture is directly viewable via an App. SONY Smart B Trainer First wireless in-ear headphones offering music playback from The Dash (4GB) or Phone. However, before consuming these items, they still have to be cooked or baked. Robomow The app-enabled Droid BB-8 offers an adaptive personality that changes during the game. Based on interactions, the Droid can show a range of expressions. It is equipped with a rain sensor, mows also lawn edges and is navigated randomly.
