Date: Saturday, June 27, 2015, beginning at 4:00pm
Type of regatta: Sprintregatta. The finals will take place when it is dark. The course will be lit by
floodlights.

Entries deadline: Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 6pm
Late entries are open until June 26, 2015, 6pm, unless a late entry requires
adding a further division.
Since the starting field is limited, all of last year’s participants have a guaranteed
starting place in this year’s event. First time starters will be accepted after arrival
of entries. Please make your entry as soon as possible!
Draws: Friday, June 26, 2015, 7:00pm in the Rowing center New Danube,

All chairmen of all crews are required to attend this meeting.
Entry fees: 20,- Euro/seat (coxes are not included) = 160,- Euro/boat
Foreign crews pay half the amount.

Late entries will be charged an extra 50% of the normal entry fee. Crews which
have not paid their entry fees are not permitted to race!

Regatta course: Rowing center New Danube / Steinspornbrücke

350 meters, straight course, standing water, 3 lanes. The organizing committee
may decide to start on 4 lanes if there are more than 15 crews in a single boat
class. After dusk the course will be lit by floodlights. There will be a start
pontoon with light signals.

If several teams wish to race in the same boat, please notify the organizing
committee as soon as possible. If possible, the organizing committee will
attempt to arrange the races in a way so that there are no overlaps. If one team
has no boat available the organizing committee tries to organize a boat. Please

Starting right: Because of the short break between the single races a rower is not allowed to
start in multiple boat classes – NO MULTIPLE STARTS FOR ONE ROWER!
Weighing: Coxes are weighted no earlier than 2 hours before and no later than 1 hour
before the first race of the regatta. Coxes need to wear their racing kit.
Changing rooms: Changing rooms for athletes are provided on site. Athletes can store their
personal belongings in the changing room at their own responsibility.
Accommodation: All participants can camp on site or stay in the gym overnight free of charge.
Those staying overnight need to bring their own sleeping bags. The sleeping
places are very limited and have to be reserved via e-mail: office@viennanightrow.com

Timetable: The timetable can change due to late entries or no shows. Changes will be
indicated on our homepage: www.vienna-nightrow.com
Regatta mode: The number of races a team needs to race depends on the overall number of
crews competing in the relevant boat class:
2 – 3 boats per class: 1 heat and 1 final A
4 – 5 boats per class: 1 heat, 1 repechage and 1 final A
6+ boats per class: 2-3 heats, 1 repechage, 1 final B and 1 final B
Liabilities: We would like to emphasize that all participating clubs take full responsibility for
the medical and physical condition of the athletes. All participants need to be
able to swim and to maneuver the boat according to the rules. Special caution
needs to be taken with regards to swimmers. Participating clubs and rowers
need to be insured. The organiser cannot take accountability for any material
damage or bodily injury.

Winning The winning ceremony will take place at the end of the regatta. The best boats
ceremony: of each boat class and the boat with the best lighting will be awarded.
Racks and Attention: Racks will only be available in limited quantities. There will be one
pontoons: pontoon for getting on the water and one pontoon for getting off the water.
Please consult the regatta plan for further information.
Safety:
 Before getting on the water all necessary equipment (race number, oars,
lighting, etc.) needs to be taken down to the pontoon.
 Getting on and off the water should be done as quickly and smoothly as
possible. You need to follow the instructions of the Nightrow umpires.
 LIGHTING: Every boat has to be sufficiently equipped with lighting in
the bows (minimum: bike lights).
