MacEoin is a retired lecturer in Arabic and Islamic studies as well as a popular author. He writes books under two different names: Daniel Easterman (thrillers) and Jonathan Aycliffe (ghost stories). MacEoin, who was born in Belfast, uses his knowledge and experience of countries in the Middle East in his stories. His latest Daniel Easterman thriller (German title: Die Templerverschwörung) comes out in paperback in Germany this month.
