del Norte to provide students with an
international learning opportunity at the Walt
Disney World® Resort.
•Students will be enrolled full time at
Valencia College and upon program
completion they will receive a total of 12
credit hours.

College upon successful completion of the
program.

class provides hands-on training and
skill building, designed to prepare the
students for finding, getting, and

• Business Management Course (3
credits): Course topics include customer

communication skills, management
skills, and attitude.

choose from one the following courses: Advanced
Studies in Hospitality Management, Corporate Analysis,

Organizational Leadership.
• Academic Training Internship at the WDWR (3 credits):
This internship course focuses on specific training
roles at the Walt Disney World Resort.
• Academic Training Online Course (3 credits): This
professional development course guides students
through their internship course via reflective
assignments in constructing a personal career
development plan.

the Academic Exchange Program could be assigned.

Participants will work an average of 30 - 37.5 hours per
week except during peak seasons when they will
complete more than 37.5 hours.
Students will spend approximately six to eight hours in
class per week, plus approximately four hours per
week for homework

In order for students to be enrolled in the program, they must satisfy the following
requirements:
1. The student’s primary purpose in the United
States must be to study rather than work.
2. The student must be in good academic standing at
their home school, minimum 3.5 / 5.0 = grade
average 65% or above.
3. The Academic Training Internship must be related
to their major field of study.
4. The student must meet the minimum English
language requirements.
5. Pass an interview with the WDW recruitment
team.

– Living Expenses (approximate): The student must have enough money
when they start the program for initial expenses and to support themselves
until they receive their first paycheck in the second week. $400 for this
purpose.
– Housing and transportation costs: Disney will deduct the cost of their
housing and bus transportation (approximately $100/week) from their
weekly paychecks.
– Food: $75 per week
– Personal expenses: $50 per week
