and head coach, and only the third person to accomplish this feat in both men’s
and women’s basketball; Also won the ‘05 Big 12 regular season and championship
titles en route to her first Big 12 Coach of the Year honor; Turned around the Baylor
fortunes in her six years leading the Lady Bears to six postseason appearances, including all five of the school’s NCAA Tournament appearances; During her 19-year
tenure at Lousiana Tech as both a player and coach was associated with 11 Final

national championship game on seven occasions; While an assistant coach, helped

Baylor Lady Bears
The 2006-07 Lady Bears’ roster will be bolstered by senior
transfer Bernice Mosby who averaged 15.5 points and 8.6
rebounds as a junior at Florida.
Five letterwinners, including two starters (Angela Tisdale,
Jessica Morrow), return from last year’s Sweet 16 team.
The Lady Bears’ three sophomores saw extensive playing
time last season. The teams’ only upperclassmen this year
are two seniors and a junior.
Angela Tisdale is the squad’s top returning scorer after
averaging 11.7 points per game last season.
BU has made six consecutive postseason appearances
under head coach Kim Mulkey, including three straight
Regionals and the 2005 national championship.
Baylor’s incoming recruiting class of six freshmen was
ranked No. 1 by All Star Girls Report.

Junior forward Jackie McFarland, an All-Big 12 Second
Team selection in 2005-06, was Colorado’s leading scorer
and rebounder last season with 17.2 ppg and 9.2 rpg.
Senior guard/forward Jasmina Ilic ranks eighth on CU’s career three-point list with 94. Her 36 points against Nebraska
last year tied for the Big 12 single game season-high.
Ilic was the squad’s second-leading scorer last season
with 14.8 ppg.
The Buffs regain the services of sophomore center Kara
Richards who was injured last season. She averaged 9.0
points and 5.3 rebounds as a freshman.
The team welcomes seven newcomers to the 2006-07
roster.
Kathy McConnell-Miller’s older brother Tom has joined her
coaching staff. Six McConnell siblings attended college on
a basketball scholarship and four are presently coaches,
two at the college level and two in the high school ranks.

Iowa State Cyclones
Iowa State advanced to the second round of the WNIT
last season, its ninth postseason appearance under
coach Bill Fennelly.
The Cyclones return four starters in 2006-07, including
All-Big 12 performer Lyndsey Medders. The senior
guard averaged 16.5 ppg, 3.6 rpg and led the nation
with 7.7 apg last season. Medders enters the season
10th in Big 12 career assists wth 503.
ISU welcomes back redshirt freshman Rachel Pierson
who only played in one game last year before being
sidelined with an injured back. She was projected to
be the team’s starting center.
The youthful Cyclones will have 10 players who are
freshmen or sophomores on this year’s roster. Included
among the returning starters are sophomores Nicky
Wieben and Heather Ezell.
ISU has ranked in the top 10 nationally in home
attendance average the last seven years.
