The Organ Resounding 2014 – Slaný and Sedlčany
+e Organ Resounding , Slaný–Velvary–Zlonice & Petrovice and Dolní Hbity. e fih
year of the International Organ Festival will happen thanks to a grant from the Rural Development Programme of the Czech Republic. e grant was acquired by Přemyslovské střední
Čechy, o. p. s. in cooperation with MAS Sedlčansko, o. p. s. e partners of this project are the
Royal Town of Slaný and village Petrovice. erefore, this time we can not only introduce the
remarkable organs around Slaný (Slaný, Velvary, Zlonice) but also around Sedlčany (Petrovice
and Dolní Hbity) both at major concerts – aer the registrarion, there is an opportunity to visit
one concert in the area of Sedlčany for those from Slaný and vice versa – and also during the
trailing of the organs in both regions. Financed from the grant, there will also be two large-scale
restorations of the organs in Zlonice and Petrovice near Sedlčany – and both repaired instruments will be, of course, heard at the festival concerts.
Festival will be launched by a day trip – Trailing the organs around Slaný – when we visit four
places around Slaný and will familiarize ourselves with other interesting instruments. e festival
will conclude with a similar trip – Trailing the organs around Sedlčany. Every registered participant will at the end of the trip receive free commemorative graphic with a theme of organs in
Slaný and Sedlčany from the graphic artists Milan Bauer.
Exchange concerts – aer registration, visitors of the concert tour around Sedlčany can attend
the concert in Velvary and vice versa, participants from Slaný can come to the concert in Petrovice near Sedlčany.
Renowned and sensitive approach of all performers to the technical and sound disposition of the instruments, along with thoughtful dramaturgy of the festival concerts, promises a unique musical experience.
------- ADMISSION TO ALL EVENTS AND CONCERTS OF THE FESTIVAL IS FREE! ------A free of chanrge transport will be provided from Slaný to concerts in Zlonice and Velvary. e
departure is one hour before the concert from the stop „ U Váhy“ in Šultysova street in Slaný.
At the festival concerts, we will use two cameras to transmit the image from the organ lo1.
From the comfort of benches in the nave you will be able to watch the artists at play in the
organ lo1. Do not miss this experience!
As in previous years, the festival concerts will be recorded, and the recordings will be used for the three CD
compilation which will be released by the end of . (CD Organ Resounding , , , )
+e festival will happen thanks to the generous support of the parishes of the Archdiocese
of Prague – Slaný, Zlonice, Smečno, Petrovice u Sedlčan, Krásná Hora nad Vltavou
and Maková-Smolotely.

+e festival concerts will feature not only world-renowned foreign artists, but also an excellent
Czech organists, representing concert organists of all generations. Each concert of the festival
has its own dramaturgy and specific focus. In addition to the organs, you will also hear interesting and not commonly used instruments, musical styles and techniques.
