Workshop on Novel Coherence-Based Radiology

Workshop on Novel Coherence-Based Radiology
Welcome to the Second Joint Taiwanese-Swiss Workshop on “Nanotechnology: towards novel materials” Scientists operating in Taiwan and Switzerland have a long history of collaborations in many scientific and technological areas. The motivating factors are the overlap of the interest, the comparable and high level of the research program, the similar needs of industry and many friendly personal ties. The conditions exist now for a substantial increase in the level and scope of such collaborations. This is the main objective of the series of workshops. The theme corresponds to the most promising area of expanded cooperation: nanoscience and nanotechnology. In four days, several exponents from the two sides will present their research in a rather informal way with ample time for discussions. Based on the previous experience of similar bilateral events, the result will be a boost in collaborative programs, exchanges and, in general, contacts within and beyond the scientific and technological domain. The meeting will take place in Taipei, the capital and the center of technology and culture of Taiwan, and then Hualien, one of the best-known Taiwanese sites throughout the world. The label second in its name is a clear message: this is not meant to be an isolated event but following the great success in Zermatt 2003 and this time taking place in Taiwan. Y.
