hair show. The highlight was the
opening act by McKillop St salon
Man What a Fuss.
Featuring former Melbourne
Storm league player Craig Smith,
who is the ex of Krista Vendy, and
former AFL footballer John
McNamara, the boys waltzed
down the catwalk and tried a little
line dancing, which was amusing.
I’m guessing the mainly female
audience weren’t paying any
attention to their hair.
Full points for bravery, boys,
because modelling is not their
No.1 job.
There were several themed
parades on the night, including
Western, Extreme Sport, Preppie
and the Beach.

Australia’s best musical

Prior was the lead attraction in
classic roof-raiser Annie Get Your
Gun, the last musical put on by
Jeanne Pratt’s the Production
Company this year.
Prior impressed everybody on
the night, including young
daughter Olivia, who was in the
audience.
The show, choreographed by
acclaimed dancer Paul Mecurio,
ends tonight at the State Theatre.
As are most of the Production
Company’s shows, Annie was put
together very quickly — 10 days in
fact.
The after-party was held at the
ANZ Pavilion at the Arts Centre,
and more than a little champagne
was drunk.

Three’s a crowd pleaser: at

Burleigh and Paul Mercurio.
As well as Prior, the cast

The last major musical I saw
Prior in was The Witches of
Eastwick — somebody should sign
her up to another one now.
