DixieDIY.com T-Shirt Dress Pattern Loose fitting knit mini dress with three quarter length sleeves and scoop neck. Supplies 1 and 2/3 yards 60 in wide knit fabric (jersey, interlock, sweater knits), matching thread. Optional: Instead of making your collar out of the same fabric as the dress you could use rib knit but you may want to shorten the collar piece as rib knit is extra stretchy. You can also use Stay Tape to help stabilize the shoulder seams. Tips To sew knit fabrics use a serger or use a zig zag or stretch stitch on your sewing machine. Sizing 1/4 in Seam Allowances Included is the finished measurements of the garment. The dress is designed to be slightly loose fitting so choose a size that is slightly larger than your body measurements. If you want a closer fitting dress, choose a size that is closest to your body measurements. Knit fabric will stretch to fit your body. Finished Garment Sizing Chart 3/4 in allowance for hems Bust Hips Length XS 34 in 36 in S 36 38 M 38 40 32 in L 40 42 XL 42 44 Instructions 1. With right sides of Front and Back facing stitch both side and shoulder seams. 2. With right sides facing, stitch side seam on both Sleeves. 3. Right sides facing, insert Sleeves into arm holes. Match small dot on Sleeve to shoulder seam and match notch on Sleeve to notch on Front. Stitch together. 4. Hem the bottom of dress and bottoms of sleeves. Included is a 3/4 in hem allowance. 5. Right sides facing, stitch together ends of Collar. Fold Collar in half lengthwise with wrong sides together. Pin the Collar to the neck opening. The Collar’s seam should match the back center of the neck opening. The center fold of the Collar should match the front center of the neck opening. Strech the collar evenly to fit the neck opening. Stitch together. 6. Iron the Neck opening/collar seam so that the seam faces away from the Collar Piece. Top stitch the seam in place. This helps keep the Collar from flapping outward and exposing the seam. 1 1 a a a a b . 2 2 b b b c c XS e v e Sle ut 2 C 3 3 c c Test Square 4 in x 4 in 10 cm x 10 cm XS S M 4 4 L XL 1 1 Cutting Layout d 5 5 d XS S M L XL 2 2 d d XL S M L XL 6 6 L M S XS e e 3 3 e e f 7 7 f 4 4 a a b b c c Test Square 4 in x 4 in 10 cm x 10 cm f f XS S M L XL e ev Sle ut 2 C 1 2 1 2 d 3 4 3 d XL L M S 4 XS e e f 5 XS S M L XL 6 7 5 6 7 f 8 8 XS g g h h i S M L XL i XL L M S Back Cut 1 on Fold 11 9 10 11 j l 14 15 13 14 15 Center Fold m XS S M L XL 12 k 13 m 8 k 12 l Center Fold Collar - Cut 1 on Fold Center Fold 10 j 8 Front Cut 1 on Fold XS 9 n n 16 16 o o XS S M L XL 5 XS S M L XL 5 g Back Cut 1 on Fold 9 Cen 9 g S M L XL 6 6 g g h XL L M S XS 10 10 h 7 7 h h i i Front Cut 1 on F 11 11 8 8 XS i i Front Cut 1 on Fold 12 12 S M L XL 9 Center Fold 9 13 13 j j 10 10 Collar - Cut 1 on Fold 14 14 k k j j 11 11 k k l Center Fold 15 15 l 12 12 l l 16 16 13 13 m m 14 14 m Center Fold m XS S M L XL n n 15 15 n n o o 16 16 o o XS S M L XL
