Insurers cannot deny coverage or charge more because of pre-existing health problems or gender Young adults up to age 26, or age 28 with some plans in Ohio, can stay on their parent’s plan. Insurers are required to spend at least 80% of premiums on health claims. If insurers spend less, they must repay their customers. If You’re Uninsured: Medicaid has expanded income limits and now includes adults without dependants. Visit benefits.ohio.gov to see if you qualify and apply. You can purchase affordable coverage in the Marketplace (Exchange). Last day to get coverage through the Marketplace and avoid the penalty. Last day to enroll in Medicaid to get health care expenses from Jan. 1 - Mar. 31, 2014 covered. How Can I Get Health Coverage to Meet the Requirement?
