Satson has taken much hard work and lot of time and we're sure you'll like it. From Boris Morey and Diego Toritto. How to install Satson? Microsoft Windows: 32 bits: Copy SatsonBuss.dll and SatsonChannel.dll to your VST plugin folder (c:\Program Files\Steinberg\vstplugins or the folder configured in your DAW for VSTs) 64 bits: Copy SatsonBuss_x64.dll and SatsonChannel_x64.dll to your VST plugin folder (c:\Program Files\Steinberg\vstplugins or the folder configured in your DAW for VSTs) Apple MacOSX: AU: Copy SatsonChannel.component and SatsonBuss.component to /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components VST: Copy SatsonChannel.vst and SatsonChannel.vst to /Library/Audio/Plugins/VST About licensing Sonimus Satson does not requiere any kind of activation process. There is not need activation key/serial (Each buyer will get a personalized copy). How to emulate the analog mixers workflow. After audio editing, before mixing, you must insert Satson Channel (as a first insert) on every channel of your project, and Satson Buss on every Buss (as a first insert) and Master Buss. then you can start mixing. ● ● ● ● Use the Gain control like a “trim”. Use the Gain and VU Meter to level the tracks (0VU = -18 dBfs). With FAT you can reduce the dynamic range (and get more evident distortion effect) With OFF switch you can bypass the saturation, but the Gain, the VU Meter and the filters will still work. Forget everything you've learned about digital mixing, you can exceed 0dbfs without digital clip. The VU Clip indicates that your track/buss start to sound more distorted and begins to limit the signal. you can use this effect on some tracks / busses to achieve a better mix. Example: Satson buss on drums buss (FAT mode), push up the drums tracks faders (DAW faders) aggressively, when light from the LED begins to glow, the signal begins to be limited. You can exceed even more the clip level and get a more nice saturated effect. Satson Channel: Controls: 1. GAIN: Controls the input signal. 2. FAT: With this you can reduce the dynamic range (and get more evident distortion effect) 3. ON: With this switch you can bypass the saturation, but the Gain, the VU Meter and the filters will still work. 4. HIGH PASS: Sweet analog like high pass filter (6dB/oct and 12 dB/oct). 5. LOW PASS: Sweet analog like low-pass filter (6dB/oct). 6. 12 db/oct: Controls the HIGH PASS decay. 7. VU BALISTIC: swtichs between 0VU = -18 dBfs and 0VU -14 dBfs. 8. BACK PANNEL: click over this area to go to the back-pannel. 9. OUTPUT COMPENSATION: This will automatically turn down the output as you increase the GAIN. This makes the gain function as a drive knob. 10. SUPER GAIN: This increases the range of the GAIN knob to -24/+24 11. MONO (L): If you have a Reaper like host, where all tracks are stereo, and your audio track is mono, you can turn on it to save CPU usage Signal Flow: Satson Buss: Controls: 1. BACK PANNEL: click over this area to go to the back-pannel. 2. FAT: With this you can reduce the dynamic range (and get more evident distortion effect). 3. ON: With this switch you can bypass the saturation and crosstalk, but the VU Meter will still work. 4. VU BALISTIC: swtichs between 0VU = -18 dBfs and 0VU -14 dBfs. 5. DUAL-MONO: This switch turn on/off the stereo crosstalk. 6. LOUD: Adds more distortion to the lows and highs. 7. REGISTERED TO. 8. VERSION. Signal Flow:
