In a society so full of lies and corruption, how do we know for sure if we can trust someone and the advice they give us? MONTHLY PATROL INCENTIVE WINNERS NOVEMBER & DECEMBER WINNERS: Congrats to Jonathan King, Steve Thompson, Shayne Quick & Bob McKeating who won bistro vouchers for excellence on patrol. Let's look at what advice the Bible gives us on the subject! Good people do good things because of the good in their hearts. Bad people do bad things because of the evil in their hearts LUKE 6:43 God is simply saying - before you take advice from anyone just look at the fruits of their lives. Are they honest and always willing to help others or are they dishonest and continually self-seeking. Their words and their actions will show what's in their hearts. God's word (The Bible) is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, follow its teachings and you will never fall. God's Blessings to all members. Noel Kolkka Sick or need prayer? On Saturday 21st we had our first real hit out at our Beach in lieu of the Alex Carnival. 18 members turned up and enjoyed a number of surf, board, ski and combined taplin team races. Welcome to new members Mike Victorsen and Terry Young, and the return of former member Warren Zunker – initially was told that some Nipper parents were turning up to do some beach events - however this didn’t happen. All members, whether Nipper or otherwise, over 30 years of age as at midnight on 30th September who are proficient are entitled to join in – just contact either me or Wally or Adam Jones. SUPPORTERS CLUB NEWS... Have you been to the club since the renovations have been completed??? If you haven’t had a chance, here’s a sneak preview. Click here. After the racing we got together for a sausage sizzle washed down with a few beers. Special thanks here to Martin Gillett for being our IRB driver for the day and to my wife Rob for the lemon slice and chocolate cake that was really enjoyed. A decision will be made shortly as to whether we will, as a full team, attend the Gold Coast City Titles at Tugun or alternatively we have another hit out at our beach. All will be notified in plenty of time. If anyone wishes to specifically enter for Tugun please let me or Wally know ASAP.
