2014 Gorgeous Festival Saturday November 29 Food Stall Guidelines Please read these guidelines IN FULL before submitting an Application Form. The Festival The Gorgeous Festival is a 2 day event held annually over the last weekend in November. The 2014 Festival will be held on the th 28-29 of November. Market stalls only operate on Saturday November 29 . The event in 2014 will be expecting around 4000 people on Saturday. The Festival is held in the beautiful McLaren Vale wine regions on the grounds at Serafino Winery. Food Stalls Stalls will be located in a high foot traffic area, and near bars and. There will be site furniture for people to gather and eat at close to the stalls. 3m(wide) x 3m(deep) Marquee provided & set-up by Gorgeous Festival - $990 (inc GST) Caterers providing their own structure (please estimate required space in application) - Fee to be negotiated depending on size. No Marquee provided Power In your application please estimate how many power outlets and how many amps they need to be (15amp, 10amp) If more than 3 x 15amp outlets are required additional outlets will be will be charged at a rate of $100 each. No appliances or equipment can be used that are not tagged and tested. Gorgeous festival can have your items tagged and tested but will pass the cost of doing so on to you. Entry Passes Gorgeous Festival will supply you a reasonable amount of passes determined by type of stall and set-up. Please note these passes will give you access to the site and the rear of the catering area but do not provide access to the backstage area. Your Application In order to apply for a Food Stall site you will need to provide Gorgeous Festival with: • • • • • A completed Application Form (see below) Photograph(s) of your stall Your current menus and prices A copy of your current Public & Products Liability insurance certificate of currency (minimum $20m) A completed copy of the City of Onkaparinga Temporary Food Event registration Form. Please note that we receive a large number of applications for food stalls, more than we can physically accommodate. If your application is unsuccessful it is not always a reflection on the quality of your stall, it is more likely to be because of duplication with another stall. th Selection decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Are Innovative – not available at every other festival. Value for money Provide variety to our patrons Well-presented Courteous and co-operative Healthy(ish) Menus that include vegetarian and vegan options. Menus that take not of potential allergies (Coeliac, Lactose Intolerant) Staff Access / Passes Gorgeous Festival will only allocate the required number of passes to effectively operate your stall at any one time. Trading Times LOAD IN: FRIDAY – Stalls must bump in by no later than 12midday Friday 28/11 and be set-up ready for inspection by 2pm. (Please note if you set up your stall on Friday there will be security on-site overnight) SATURDAY - Stalls must bump in by no later than 9am Saturday 29/11 and be set up ready for inspection by 10am. SATURDAY TRADING: 11am – 11.30pm Vehicles Vehicles are only allowed on-site for the purpose of unloading and packing up. There will be NO access between: When vehicles have been unloaded they must be removed to the staff car park adjacent the Serafino Winery. Insurance Public Liability insurance, with a minimum of $20 million cover is required for all stallholders. A copy of your certificate of currency must be sent with your Application Form. All risks related to the vendor’s business remain the vendor’s during the Festival and the vendor warrants that it holds adequate insurance cover. Food & Safety Requirements Food & Safety requirements are controlled by the City of Onkaparinga. Please see the temporary food vendor guidelines. Please note Gorgeous Festival will provide a shared hand washing station. Safety & OHS All stallholders will abide by SafeWork SA standards. If you are confirmed as a stallholder for the Festival more information about this will be forwarded to you. Officers from SWSA will be on-site during the Festival enforcing these standards and have the authority to close the operations of non-complying Stalls. For more information about safety please go to http://www.safework.sa.gov.au/ PO Box 2104 McLaren Vale SA Australia 5171 info@gorgeousfestival.com.au www.gorgeousfestival.com.au Phone : 08)71841086 A Sustainable Event The Gorgeous Festival has a clean Green philosophy and as such stallholders are required to: • • • • • • • use packaging that can be recycled or that is biodegradable (a supplier list will be forwarded to successful stallholders) avoid using non-recyclable and unnecessary packaging avoid single serve items such as tomato sauce and sugar during the event, correctly place items into the recycling and garbage bins help with litter control around your site avoid using plastic bags pay a refundable Clean-up Bond More information on our Green Initiatives can be found at http://gorgeousfestival.com.au/about/green/ Accommodation Accommodation is the responsibility of the stallholder. Gorgeous Festival runs a low impact tent only camping site on the McLaren Vale Sports Oval. Camping runs for Friday and Saturday nights of the Festival. If you wish to receive information about camping be sure to tick “Yes” to camping on your Application Form. Please note there is no option of camping within the Festival site. Infrastructure Gorgeous Festival will provide stall holder with a 3m x 3m marquee tent space provided & set-up by Gorgeous Festival supplier including sufficient lighting and power as per your application. All other infrastructure is to be provided by stall holder. Stalls must fit within the 3m x 3m space allocated, and cannot go outside of this space unless previously negotiated with Gorgeous Festival. Payment Please do not send money with your Application Form. If you are successful in your application your site fee will need to be sent with your signed agreement. All site fees must be paid prior to entering the site to set up. Cancellation All site cancellations attract a 30% administration fee; refunds of site fees are only possible if Gorgeous Festival is able to rebook the site. Any bonds will be forfeited.
