In October our topic is “Speaking Christian...what exactly do we mean by the terms God, Faith, etc”. 9:50 AM – Church & Society – launches a new study this morning based on Making Sense of the Bible: Rediscovering the Power of Scripture Today by Adam Hamilton, in Room 203-204, second service. Hamilton, senior pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, writes: “The Bible captures my deepest hopes and highest aspirations. The Espy’s Home Group won with a Mexican chili-soup created from a recipe belonging to Jereva Christensen. The whole group worked to create the 8 gallons brought to the tailgate party! The group members are: Carl Espy, Kim Espy, Darrell Wooster, Juli Wooster, Diane Parisho, Jay Parisho, Donna DePalma, Gregg Hainen , Karen Hainen, Linda Price, Richard Bain, Janice Bain, Doug Christensen, and Jereva Christensen. Runners up were the Whites who offered a gumbo that Carl tasted many multiple times while Paul & Mims’ backs were turned. It was really good stuff! Come check out Cub Scout Pack 448.
