MESSAGE
I have taken over as Managing Director of Central Warehousing
Corporation (CWC). CWC has a name for quality warehousing. CWC has
been moving from strength to strength by the efforts of each one of you. In
2013-14, CWC has achieved highest turn-over ever. CWC has been earning
profits and paying dividend to its Shareholders continuously ever since its
inception in 1957. This speaks of the sincerity and hard work that you all
have been serving this Corporation with. It is, therefore, a great honour to
take over as Managing Director of this Corporation.
An Organization is known by its brand and the brand builds by the
perception, the Stakeholders have. ‘Brand CWC’ should be a brand which
gets in a thought of being the best in the business it is in. We have to
ensure, for this purpose that whatever we do brings in further improvement
in the quality of services that we provide in all the fields so that we can move
towards achieving customer delight. Let us dedicate ourselves to this moto.
Alongwith this, ‘CWC brand’ should also be associated with ethics and fair
play which is an essential part of customers delight. Thus, let all of us
dedicate ourselves to ensure further improvement in service quality with
ethics so that we can be a leading brand in the Logistic industry in this
Country. Let us strive to be the ideal in warehousing management with
optional use of technology so that CWC is associated with state of art
storage practices giving our customers a belief that their goods shall be
stored in the best of conditions without the fear of loss. Further, we should
strive to get into more areas of the value chain for Logistics as storage is
only a small but important part of the Logistic value chains as all other
Logistic functions are built around storage. This should be taken as an
opportunity to expand further into the value chains which should be the
growth drivers for future of this Corporation. Cost cutting should be a major
area of focus so that we can provide our customers with low cost Logistic
solutions. For this, I would urge every one of you to re-engineer the
processes being followed in each area of our business. The upkeep of assets
is an important area of focus. We should all as a mission upgrade our assets
so that we are able to provide world class service. Another opportunity area
is Goods and Service Tax (GST), which is expected to be adopted shortly. We
should take the first mover advantage in this area and plan and gear up to
this business opportunity, which should involve the complete Logistic
Chain. Towards this, each one of us would have to give CWC the best of us.
Let us pledge today to work with customer in our mind so that together we
would take CWC to even greater heights.

थािपत करने का प्रयास करना होगा तािक के द्रीय
भ डारण िनगम अ याधिु नक भ डारण पद्धितय के साथ जड़
ु कर अपने ग्राहक को यह िव वास
िदला सक िक उनकी व तए
ु ं बेहतर ि थित म हमारे पास सरु िक्षत ह। इसके अितिरक्त, हम
लॉिजि टक वे यू चेन के अिधक से अिधक क्षेत्र म प्रवेश करने का प्रयास करना चािहए क्य िक
भंडारण लॉिजि टक वे यू चेन का छोटा िक तु मह वपूणर् भाग है और अ य सभी लॉिजि टक
कायर् भंडारण पर ही आधािरत होते ह । इसे आगे वे यू चेन म िव तािरत करने के अवसर के
प म िलया जाना चािहए जो भिव य म िनगम को िवकास के रा ते पर आगे बढ़ाने म
सहायक होगा । लागत कटौती एक ऐसा मख्
ु य क्षेत्र है िजस पर

िदया जाना चािहए
तािक हम अपने ग्राहक को कम लागत पर लॉिजि टक सिु वधाएं प्रदान कर सक । इसके िलए,
म आप सभी से आग्रह क ं गा िक हमारे कायर्- यापार के प्र येक क्षेत्र म अपनाई जा रही
प्रिक्रयाओं का पुनिनर्मार्ण कर । पिरस पि तय के रखरखाव जैसे मह वपूणर् क्षेत्र पर
िदया जाना अपेिक्षत है ।
