An invitation to Whitefriars Church Harvest Festival th Sunday 19 October 2014 10.15am Worship service Lunch for all Charity Auction for Tearfund Whitefriars Junior School Boughton Drive, Rushden, NN10 9HX We welcome as our Harvest speaker Nadine Parkinson, who heads the Tearfund and New Wine partnership, ‘Change a Nation’. Her job is to help churches like ours build links with churches in Uganda, so that we can work with them to do just that. that Nadine’s visit will launch our link with Okunguro Assembly Church, Church which the Whitefriars ars Church Council has committed to support for three years. Our funding enables a development worker to assist the local church to increase their biblical understanding of how God’s existing provision for them can grow and be multiplied, enabling them to sustain growth. In other words they will not depend on us for gifts, but use their own existing gifts to grow in confidence, skills, and resources. Growth will be literally in terms of crops and produce – but also spiritually. It is an incredibly exciting e programme led by the Pentecostal Assemblies of God across Uganda, resulting in improved health, sustained development, construction, financial security, stronger communities ... the list goes on. Okunguro Assembly Church is in the Agule subcounty of eastern Uganda, around 200km from the capital Kampala. Okunguro Assembly Church is led by Pastor Robert Epianura. He is married to Florence, and they have three children. ‘Our vision is to build a church that sustains life in all its fullness, ness, in service of God,’ says Pastor Robert.
