He is currently stationed in Allen, Nevada where he is training to become a naval air traffic controller on board the aircraft carriers. He will be in training for two years. Austin is requesting prayer for the many servicemen and women who are returning injured as they go through rehab. If you are interested in assisting in this ministry or desire more information, please contact Randy or Brenda Webb. Membership class with Pastor Russ Sundays November 9 and 16. If you would like to participate in the classes, please notate on the attendance pads as they are passed during the offering. We are collecting gently used coats again this year for Coats for Colorado through the month of October. We will again be volunteering at the Food Bank of the Rockies on Monday, October 20, from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. This is a great way to help provide food for the hungry. If you have any questions or want to car pool from the church at noon, contact Lou Ann Martin. Harvest Party Sleepover for children ages K - 6 grade, Friday, October 31, 6:00 pm until 7:00 am Saturday, November 1. Cost is $10. Pastor Kristi is in need of volunteers to assist with crafts, games and tear down (Saturday morning following the event). If you are interested in volunteering, please see the flyer in the bulletin. Operation Christmas Child; November 29, 1 - 6 pm. 25 available spaces, minimum age 13 years, first come first served. The Quilting Team will be having a quilt and handbag sale on Sunday’s, November 2 and 9. There will be items for children to buy as well. ALL funds from this sale will be donated to the Church's Stephen Fund. Is your photo missing from our picture wall? It's a great way for all of us to put names and faces together! * Contact church office for the address Women’s Ministry Ladies join us Wednesday evening for the Women’s Bible study in Room 211. We are studying Beth Moore’s James: Mercy Triumphs. If you have any questions contact Janet May. There are still 2 seats on the floor available to the Denver Women of Faith event. Each ticket is $81.00. To purchase a ticket please contact Karen Brown, she will be at the Women's Ministry table each Sunday during fellowship time. Ladies you won't want to miss Homemade for the Holidays on Friday night, November 14. The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a yummy dinner of homemade soups and desserts. Immediately following dinner you can start on one or more crafts for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We'll also have crafts for the children to make. Starting October 26 you can see the different craft options to sign up for at the women's ministry table. There will be a minimal cost for each project. This is a fun time to make something for yourself or for a gift. No skills required - every craft will have a teacher to assist you! Women - Save the Date! Our women's retreat will be moved from the last weekend in April to the first weekend in May. It will be held May 1-3, 2015 at the YMCA of the Rockies. A wonderful weekend is being planned that you won't want to miss! Children’s Ministry Bible study - for children up through 6th grade meets on Sunday nights from 6:00 - 7:00 pm and Wednesday nights from 7:00 - 8:00 pm in Room 207. Puppets September 7, 4:30 pm.
