Choreography Rules (FUSTA) 1. A group choreography competition is open to registered dancers, the age groups to be set by the organizer. 2. Content should consist primarily of movements from Highland, National, Hornpipe and Jig books. 3. A maximum of five minutes time limit should be set to include entrance and exit of competitors and setting up and removal of props. The choreographed dance will be limited to 3 minutes. Performances will be timed. Disqualification for exceeding the time limit. 4. Teams may use props during their performance, either static or non-static, but live animals are not permitted. 5. REGISTRATION must include a list of team members for groups on a separate sheet of paper 6. Costumes must follow the theme and content. THEME: SCOTS ON THE ROCKS 7. Dancers entering solo or group choreography must compete in the regular competition. 8. Dancers may only compete in one group with a minimum of 3 dancers and a maximum of 5. 9. Provide your own music which must have a Celtic Theme and Celtic Costume. 10. Teams should consist of one school only. More than one school, in which case, the teacher/ choreographer must abide by the three month teaching/ judging rule set by SOBHD. Canyonlands Field Airport is located about 17 outside of Moab. Delta/Skywest runs daily shuttle flights between Salt Lake International Airport and Canyonlands Field. All competitors’ ages determined as of the day of the competition, November 8, 2014. Proof of age must be furnished upon request. Medals will be awarded in each event. DANCERS MUST BE IN COSTUME TO RECEIVE AWARDS. If there are three dancers or less in any event, medals will be awarded at judges’ discretion. There will be an award to the highest aggregate point winner in each age group, with the exception of Primary.
