A song of love and compassion, a song to set me free! God is my rock of salvation! A beacon for my soul! Hallelujah! Amen! Praise to the rock and the wellspring, Creator of my soul! My heart knew darkness, my soul was filled with despair, lifeless and silent no music anywhere, And then my Lord and companion, he filled my waiting soul: Hallelujah! For God has made me whole! The Lord has called me to sing his word to the poor, ring out his justice, his love forevermore; To preach with words of compassion, to feed the famished soul: Hallelujah! For God has made me whole! Death is no longer; now flows the fountain of love! Light leaps from darkness the wind of God above, The Spirit blows through creation, and lifts my newborn soul: Hallelujah! For God has made me whole! Doxology 94 Children’s Time Emily Robnett Scripture Acts 1: 6-8 Rev. Joy Anderson and Elizabeth Mathis This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Time of Prayer Dr. Rebecca Bruff The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Imagine Campaign Announcement Offering Our Gifts to God Offertory Music Andrew & Christy McWhorter (Remember the Extra Dollar) Witness Traditional Spiritual; arr. Jack Halloran Chancel Choir; Caitlin Wells, director Who’ll be a witness for my Lord? Oh, I’ll be a witness for my Lord. There was a man of the Pharisees, his name was Nicodemus and he didn’t believe. The same came to Christ by night, wanted to be taught out of human sight. Nicodemus was a man who desired to know how a man can be born when he’s old. Christ told Nicodemus as a friend, “Man, you must be born again.” He said, “Marvel not, man, if you want to be wise, repent, believe and be baptized.” Then you’ll be a witness for my Lord, soul is a witness for my Lord. You read about Samson, from high birth he was the strongest man that ever lived on earth. Way back yonder in ancient times he killed ten thousand of the Phillistines. Then old Samson went a-wand’rin’ about. Samson’s strength was never found out. ‘Til his wife sat upon his knee. She said, “Tell me where your strength lies, if you please!” Well, old Samson’s wife, she talk so fair Samson said, “Cut off-a my hair! Shave my head just as clean as your hand, and my strength will ‘come like a natural man.” Samson was a witness for my Lord, soul is a witness for my Lord. There’s another witness for my Lord! My soul is a witness for my Lord! Doxology 94 Children’s Time Julie Klossner Scripture Acts 1: 6-8 (9:45) Rev. Anderson and Sullivan Lajoie (11:00) Rev.
