INSTRUCTION TO PLAYERS & RULES GOVERNING TO THE CONDUCT OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP
1.
All matches will be played as far as possible in accordance with the Laws of Table Tennis as sanctioned by the
ITTF.
2.
The championship will be conducted on a Knock-out basis for all events.
3.
The following events will be worked out:
Boys Doubles - Under 18
Girls Doubles - Under 18
Mixed Doubles - Under 18
Boys Under 10 Singles
Boys Under 12 Singles
Boys Under 15 Singles
Boys Under 18 Singles
Girls Under 10 Singles
Girls Under 12 Singles
Girls Under 15 Singles
Girls Under 18 Singles
Entry forms must be signed by the competitor. Players who are still schooling must obtain the signature of the
Principal/Rector on the College rubber stamp. The tournament committee has the right to reject any entry
that is not signed by the Principal/Rector.
All the matches in the qualification rounds will be decided on the best of three (03) games. All the other matches
will be decided on the best of five (05) games.
The entries will be closed on 20th October 2014 at 3.00 pm and the Draw will be held 26th October
2014 @ Otters Aquatic Club, Colombo at 09.00 am (You are invited to attend the Draw)
Players will be seeded based on the Rankings of the Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka as of 07th October 2014
Late entries will not be entertained and the Entries should reach the Vice President, Table Tennis Association of Sri
Lanka Miss. Sadisi Nirasha Peiris No. 148C, Hospital Road, Kalubowila, Dehiwala on or before the closing date.
An individual player can not participate in more than TWO (2) single age group events.
A complete Draw and Programme of play will be displayed on the notice board at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
This will serve as the only official information to all players in respect of the date and time of play.
All matches will be worked out at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on 01st & 02nd November 2014 commencing 8.00
am each day.

Cheques should be drawn in favour of ‘Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka’
A player who enters for the Doubles event should not enter name of any player whose name has been nominated
by any other player as partner as his/her partner.
Both players of the Doubles events should fill the Entry forms individually.
Players will be expected to play more than one match a day. Resting time between matches will be 10 minutes. A
Player who fails to show him/herself within 10 minutes of his/her name being called by the Hony. Tournament
Secretary or the person acting for him shall be deemed to have conceded a walkover. This Rule will be strictly
enforced.
All competitors participating in age group matches are requested to produce their birth certificates
before the commencement of the matches to the Hony. Referees and to the Chairman of the
Tournament Committee.
Equipments: Blue / Green TT Tables and Yasaka / Nittaku / Stag 3 Star White Balls
All disputes with regard to the interpretation of Laws of Table Tennis shall be referred to the Hony. Referee –
Mr.Prabath Priyantha and Competition Manager Mr. Upul Perera.
The decision of the Tournament Committee on all matters connected with the above Tournament and other
matters not expressly provided here in should be final and binding.
