SCHOOL IS OUT ON WEDNESDAY NOV. 26, AS WELL AS FRIDAY NOV. 28!
All regular Recreation Programs will NOT be held either day,
however Nursery School WILL be in session on Wednesday.
All trip and activity participants must be registered members of the RVC Recreation Department: Resident membership for fiscal year June 1, 2014- May 31, 2015.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment must accompany registration form. Activity takes place at the Recreation Center unless otherwise
noted. Transportation with trained rec. personnel provided for off-site activities. Parents have the option to register for combination of activities on the same day
(includes staff chaperones). Parent supply lunch/snack unless stated as included in activity. ACTIVITY WILL BE CANCELLED FOR INSUFFICIENT REGISTRATION.

SWEET TURKEY PARTY Create a sweet Thanksgiving centerpiece made of marshmallows, candy
and sprinkles. It’s a turkey treat that the whole family will enjoy!!

MERRICK MOVIE THEATRE: Let’s go to the Movies! Be the first ones to see “The Penguins of Madagascar,”
munching on your very own small popcorn and beverage! For grades K & UP

The Roll Around gymnasium is available for parents and their children ages

The Winter Session for Recreation Programs
begins on January 5.
Registration for this Winter session begins on
November 10 for Residents and those nonresidents who are registering for a class in
which they are already participating. New
non-residents may register on November 17.

RECESS GYM AND GAME ROOM SCHEDULE
“Open Gym and Game” is for students in grades 4 and up during school recesses. Activities include Basketball, X-Box and
Ping Pong under the supervision of Rec. Staff. Come down to the Rec. and meet your friends for an afternoon of fun.
The only other ingredients for a good time are a valid Rec. card and a pair of sneakers.

THURSDAY, DEC. 4: ANNUAL VILLAGE CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING at the Village Green on Maple Avenue at 7:00pm
SUNDAY DECEMBER 7: CRAFT FAIR Look for unique home-made and hand-crafted items to fulfill your holiday shopping list!
Time: 9:30am-4:00pm. Free parking and admission.
TUESDAY & WEDNESAY DECEMBER 9 & 10: NORTH POLE CALLING Children ages 4-8 can receive phone call from the big guy
at the North Pole. Forms will be available at the office in late November.
SUNDAY DECEMBER 14: FAMILY BREAKFAST WITH SANTA’S HELPERS Join us in this annual holiday tradition, eating a
pancake breakfast, write a letter to Santa, have a photo op with Rudolph and Frosty, get your face painted for a holiday glow,
play in Prancer’s Playland, and give Santa your last-minute gift list. You must pre-register for this event, tickets required.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 15: CHANUKAH PARTY Celebrate the Festival of Lights with us, including entertainment, crafts and games.
No fee or tickets required, for ages 4 and up. Time: 4:00-5:15pm.
HOLIDAY RECESS TRIPS AND EVENTS: Look for a wide-array of trips to local places of interest plus in-house activities for preschoolers and elementary age children.
