Fred & Juanita Duong, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Chiang Mai,
Thailand. The Duongs provide administrative support for Wycliffe Asia
Pacific and SIL Asia. They are currently on home assignment living in
Dayton, TN and worshiping with us at SMBC.
Children’s Fall Festival, Tonight, 5:30pm, at SMBC.
Elementary-aged children come enjoy an evening of food,
fun, and games. Nursery for three years and under will
also be provided.
Trailblazers’ Road Trip, Tuesday, October 28. Join the Trailblazers for
lunch at Jacob Myer’s On The River at 11am, followed by the Scopes Trial
Museum and Wooden's Apple House for dessert. Please sign up in the foyer,
and see Bob Vogt with questions.
Youth Retreat, October 31-November 2, Camp Skyline.
We’re headed to Camp Skyline October 31-November 2.
The theme is “Why We Worship,” cost is $75, and there
will be a sign up in the foyer and in the youth room. See BJ

Next Concert of Prayer, Sunday, November 2, 6pm. Join us as we pray for
God’s people here and around the world. Childcare is provided.
Mission Trip to South Sudan, Informational Meeting, November 2. Jim
Sutherland will be leading a short-term mission trip to South Sudan! After the
Nov. 2 worship service, there will be an informational meeting where Jim will
give details, answer questions, and review the application procedure. For

Men's Breakfast, Saturday, November 8th, 7:30 - 9:00am. Our guest
speaker is David Johnson, the Executive Director of the Prison Prevention
Ministry. The ministry strives to change lives of at-risk youth through
presentations, prison tours, and mentoring. Sign up now and learn about this
dynamic ministry at work in our community.
Ladies’ Day Out, Saturday, November 15, 8:30am.
Honna Rogers will lead this Ladies’ Day Out at the North
Georgia Premium Outlets (with 140 outlet stores!) in
Dawsonville, GA. The group will leave from the mountain at
8:30 am. Please sign up in the foyer and indicate if you can
drive or want to ride. See Honna or Angie with questions.
Axis Worldview Conference, November 15-16, at SMBC. We have the
privilege of hosting this nationally known worldviews team for a two-day
summit aimed at giving your high school student discernment in evaluating
worldviews and enticements that bombard them from our culture. More
details to come.
Christmas in Haiti. If you would like to send a Christmas
gift to your sponsored child, please do it this month. Just
$20 provides a Christmas gift for your child. You can give
even if you don’t sponsor a child. See Angie or Roger
