Optical Spectral Analysis

Chroma™
Powerful software package for optical spectral
analysis and color measurement
Color is an important design and product recognition feature, one that can mean the
difference between market success and failure. Particularly when using natural or
recycled raw materials with varying compositions, continuous, objective monitoring
of the effect of color is a key prerequisite for uniform quality.
With the Chroma software package and a PC-controlled spectrophotometer, you can
now determine the transmission and reflection properties of solids and liquids precisely, and on the basis of these calculate and graphically display color values according
to both the Helmholtz and the CIELAB method.
Chroma links measurement and evaluation with a powerful database in which all
results are stored in an optimized structure. The Chroma software ensures the traceability and complete documentation of all measurements to actively support you in
implementing your quality standards.

Shimadzu UV-1800
Shimadzu UV-2600/2700
The Shimadzu UV-1800 is a compact double-beam spectrophotometer with a 1 nm fixed slit for measurements in
the UV/VIS range (190 to 1100 nm).
On account of their highly sensitive photomultiplier detectors,
the Shimadzu UV-2600 and UV-2700 spectrophotometers
are particularly suitable for highly absorbing samples in the
UV/VIS range (185 to 900 nm).
With its small footprint of just 450 mm (width) x 490 mm
(depth), it is particularly suitable for use where space is
limited.
Its main use is for transmittance measurements of liquids
and solids in immersion fluid. Expansions such as the
automatic six-fold sample changer enhance productivity
significantly.
The double monochromator of the UV-2700 extends the
photometric range from 5 to over 8 absorption units. The
slit width is adjustable in the range of 0.1 to 5 nm. A broad
assortment of accessories is available for both models.
The ISR-2600 double-beam integrating sphere enables
transmission and reflection measurements on scattering
samples. When equipped with the integrating sphere
accessory ISR-2600Plus with PMT-InGaAs detector, the
UV-2600 can even be used to conduct measurements in
the NIR range out to 1400 nm.
